Mitsubishi Hybrid SUV Combines Energy Efficiency, Urban Style, and Advanced Technology. Model to Be Revealed at Bangkok Motor Show, Anticipated to Expand in the Asian Market.
Mitsubishi is preparing to launch the XForce HEV, a compact hybrid SUV that promises to make its mark in the urban segment with one of the best fuel consumption rates in the category: up to 24 km/l. With a modern look and dimensions similar to the Toyota Yaris Cross, the new model will be officially presented at the Bangkok International Motor Show in March 2025, according to Quatro Rodas reports.
The Mitsubishi XForce HEV will be one of the highlights of the Japanese automaker at the Thai event, as part of its strategy to expand its presence in Southeast Asia. Although there is no forecast for launch in Brazil, the model is already drawing attention for its efficiency and the balance between operational costs and embedded technology.
Compact Design of the New Mitsubishi SUV

According to Mitsubishi itself, the XForce HEV will have dimensions very similar to those of the Toyota Yaris Cross, a direct competitor in the B-SUV segment. The model will be positioned below the Outlander, with about 4.39 meters in length and a wheelbase of 2.65 meters, making it ideal for cities with heavy traffic while not compromising on interior space and size.

Ducati brings to Brazil the Superleggera V4 Centenario: 228 hp that become 247 with a track kit, carbon fiber and carbon-ceramic brakes, estimated price between R$ 1.5 and 2 million, deliveries only in 2027.
The brand maintains a robust look, with a visual identity inspired by models such as the Outlander and Eclipse Cross. The design relies on striking lines, LED headlights, and chrome details, which make it visually more sophisticated for its category.
Hybrid Powertrain Focused on Efficiency
The XForce HEV combines a 1.5 combustion engine with an electric motor coupled to an e-CVT transmission, similar to the configuration used in Toyota models. The system provides a combined power of approximately 114 hp, according to information from the specialized portal Click Petróleo e Gás.
What stands out is the consumption performance: the model is designed to achieve up to 24 km per liter, especially in urban use — a competitive figure even among conventional hybrids. Mitsubishi has not yet confirmed official acceleration and total range figures, but the promise is for excellent performance with low emissions.
Embedded Technology and Refined Interior
The interior of the Mitsubishi XForce HEV has been designed to deliver comfort and technology. According to information from the automaker, the dashboard is digital, and the multimedia system features an interface compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as a sound system with special acoustic treatment.
The SUV will also come with a robust list of driver assistance features, including:
- Adaptive Cruise Control
- Automatic Emergency Braking System
- Blind Spot Monitoring
- Lane Departure Warning
Premium fabric seats, digital air conditioning, and distinct driving modes should be offered from the entry-level versions.
When Will It Arrive and Where Will It Be Sold?
The premiere of the Mitsubishi XForce HEV will be in March 2025 at the Bangkok Motor Show in Thailand. The country will be the first market to receive the model, and it is expected to reach other regions of Southeast Asia shortly thereafter. Production will be done locally, reducing import costs and adapting the car to the needs of the region.
However, Mitsubishi has not yet confirmed if the model will come to Brazil. According to journalist Jorge Moraes from UOL Carros, the brand is assessing the national public’s interest in smaller hybrid SUVs, but is still betting more on models like the Eclipse Cross Hybrid for the Brazilian market.
