The Sustainable Electric Motorcycle Zapp i300 Comes With Two Batteries That Provide a Range Of Up To 60 Km With Just One Charge
Although it was first presented to the public during the summer of 2017, its creative lines have already won design awards. Zapp, a UK-based company, introduced one of its first products, a sustainable electric motorcycle called i300, which combines speed with simple charging.
The Zapp i300 received the “Excellent Product Form” award from the German Design Awards 2023 in the motorcycles category. This was partly due to the unique design of its frame, which was shaped like a Z.
The i300 is a sustainable urban electric motorcycle, designed by a group of automotive and motorcycle industry experts, to offer performance that can surpass internal combustion engine models.

Ducati brings to Brazil the Superleggera V4 Centenario: 228 hp that become 247 with a track kit, carbon fiber and carbon-ceramic brakes, estimated price between R$ 1.5 and 2 million, deliveries only in 2027.
The vehicle is equipped with an electric motor with a maximum power of 14 kilowatts (19 horsepower), allowing it to reach the limited top speed of 97 kilometers per hour in just 4.8 seconds.
As the first electric motorcycle Zapp created, the i300 weighs only 92 kg and is entirely made of lightweight metals, with some components made of carbon. It is also possible to purchase a variant that contains components made from recycled ocean plastics. It is worth noting that the cited weight does not account for the two batteries that equip the sustainable electric motorcycle.
The fact that each of the batteries weighs six kilograms and has a convenient handle allows them to be removed and charged at a standard outlet without much difficulty. They are capable of recovering between 20 and 80 percent of their lost energy in less than 40 minutes.
The Electric Motorcycle Zapp i300 Has a Version With Components Made From Recycled Ocean Plastics
Regarding its level of independence, the sustainable electric motorcycle Zapp i300 can travel a distance of up to 60 kilometers without needing a charge, which is considered good range.
Zapp offers a wide variety of customization options for potential consumers of the new i300 electric motorcycle. These alternatives include various colors for the front panel and seat, as well as several accessories. As a result, there are very few cases where two motorcycles are identical.
The costs of the i300 start at £5,750 (about R$ 37,000, in direct conversion) when purchased online on Zapp’s website. This amount corresponds to the version partially built with recycled plastic produced from trash collected from the sea.
