Mottu Announces New Affordable Motorcycle for Sale in Brazil. Meet the Sport 110i, a Bike That Promises to Lead Sales and Oust the Reign of the Honda Pop 110i Costing Less Than R$ 10 Thousand.
Since 2022, the rental company Mottu has offered its affordable motorcycle Sport 110i for rent. Until now, this was the only way to acquire a model. Apparently, the company has changed its mind. The Mottu website now features a new tab where it is possible to purchase this new affordable motorcycle. The price announced there puts the product in the sights of buyers of Honda’s market giant, the Pop 110i.
How Much is the New Affordable Motorcycle from Mottu?
Those who wish to purchase the now-called Mottu Sport 110i will have to pay R$ 9,990 upfront. A financing plan has also been announced directly with the company, requiring a down payment of R$ 2 thousand and installments of R$ 126 per week for 3 years, or monthly payments of R$ 540 also for three years.
However, it’s important to be cautious, as despite Mottu highlighting that financing has no credit analysis, the total amount paid in the financing reaches R$ 21,440. This means that financing costs more than double the price of the new affordable motorcycle when paid upfront. At least the amount includes documentation and registration.

And there is also one more issue to consider, as Mottu does not have physical stores. Registration is done on the website, and a consultant will get in touch. A downside is that by offering the new affordable motorcycle Sport 110i for sale, Mottu discloses on its websites some technical information about the motorcycle that was not available when the product could only be rented.
Specific Data of the New Sport 110i Motorcycle
The new rival to the Honda Pop 110i also features an air-cooled single-cylinder engine, but with a capacity of 109.7 cm³. It is capable of delivering 8.1 hp at 7,350 rpm and 0.9 kgfm of torque at 4,500 rpm, running only on gasoline.

The transmission is a four-speed mechanical, but with gear shifts inverted compared to the rival: all up. The start of Mottu’s affordable motorcycle is by pedal, and the company claims a top speed of 100 km/h for the Sport 110i, with a average fuel consumption of 65 km/l, delivering a range of 650 km.
The dimensions disclosed by the brand include a length of 1,950 mm, a width of 705 mm, a height of 1,080 mm, and a wheelbase of 1,236 mm. The ground clearance is 175 mm, and the curb weight is 110 kg. Mottu only disclosed that the new motorcycle has a telescopic front fork and two rear shock absorbers with preload adjustment for the suspension.
The Journey of the Sport 110i in Brazil
The model’s wheels are made of alloy with a diameter of 17 inches, fitted with tires 2.75-17 at the front and 3.00-17 at the rear. The brakes are drum on both wheels, with diameters of 130 mm and 110 mm, respectively.
The fuel tank of the motorcycle has a declared capacity of 10 liters. The brand does not highlight any relevant standard item for the model, except for the daytime running light.
The arrival of the Sport 110i in Brazil began when Mottu obtained a production license for the motorcycle with the Indian TVS. In turn, TVS maintained a partnership with the Brazilian Dafra in Manaus (AM) until March 2024. Thus, the Mottu 110i was a TVS product assembled by Dafra in Brazil.
