Driver Blame? An Apparently Simple Curve in the United States Is Becoming a Site of Constant Accidents

The YouTube channel The Turn has gained thousands of followers with a simple yet addictive concept: a compilation of drivers slowly sliding off a particular curve somewhere unknown in the United States.

This seemingly harmless curve has turned into a trap for drivers and an irresistible spectacle for online audiences.

Mysterious and Constant Accidents

The curve of The Turn provides no visible clues as to why so many accidents occur. It appears ordinary, with seemingly adequate pavement and no obvious signs of danger. Yet, drivers continue to leave the road, and the videos keep racking up views.

In the videos, filmed by a fixed camera on various days and under different weather conditions, the pattern is always the same: cars slide off the track, often colliding with trees or knocking down signs.

The weather does not seem to be a determining factor, as accidents happen on sunny days as well as in rain or snow. Additionally, the speed is generally low, which makes the mystery even greater.

Viewers of the channel speculate that a camber change in the middle of the curve could destabilize vehicles.

Others believe the fault lies with the drivers, who underestimate the sharp angle of the curve until it’s too late.

Interestingly, cars of all types—from supercars to SUVs—are seen both failing and completing the curve without difficulties. This reinforces the theory that the problem is more related to the driver’s skill than to the road.

A Journey From Accident to Viral

The creator of the channel, whose initial goal was to produce videos about skydiving, never imagined that filming a curve would become so popular.

The shift happened by chance after the success of a video where a Tesla slid on the curve. The video went viral, and the focus of the channel changed to documenting accidents at The Turn.

Since then, the location has remained anonymous. The creator chose not to reveal the exact spot, perhaps to avoid an increase in curious traffic or to maintain the mystery that fascinates viewers. This decision did not hinder the channel’s success.

The channel has gained a loyal fan base, who regularly return to watch new videos of slow and, paradoxically, soothing collisions.

What makes The Turn so intriguing is its apparent normality. Unlike more extreme scenarios, such as dangerous curves in mountains or icy roads, this location has nothing special about it.

However, the frequency of accidents creates a sense of almost comical inevitability.
