The Motorola Signature arrives as the most powerful device from Motorola with cameras that received the DxOMark gold seal, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor with over 3 million points on AnTuTu, and a 1.5K Extreme AMOLED display with a brightness of 6,200 nits
Motorola decided to go big. The Motorola Signature is the first product of a new premium franchise from the brand, and the device arrived making waves: gold seal from DxOMark for the cameras, tying with the iPhone 17 Pro and surpassing Samsung, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor that exceeded 3 million points on AnTuTu, and a 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED display that you can see perfectly with the sun shining directly on it.
The work that Motorola did on the cameras of this device deserves attention because it was not done alone. The brand developed the photographic system in direct partnership with DxOMark to calibrate image quality and performance, and the result is evident in both photos and videos. The zoom, which works impressively even at night, is the kind that makes you look twice at the screen and think something is wrong because it’s so sharp.
Cameras of the Motorola Signature received DxOMark gold seal and tie with iPhone 17 Pro

The main highlight of the Motorola Signature is the cameras. The device received the DxOMark gold seal, the highest certification from the camera evaluation platform, placing the Signature’s lenses on the same level as the iPhone 17 Pro and above Samsung models.

Samsung launches cordless vertical vacuum cleaner with up to 400W of suction and relies on AI to automatically recognize corners, carpets, and different surfaces.
Motorola worked together with DxOMark to reach this level, something that few manufacturers do.
The main sensor is a Sony LYT-800, and the rear camera includes wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto lenses with zoom that truly catches attention.
In nighttime tests, the zoom managed to capture details of construction structures in distant buildings with impressive sharpness, and the macro camera delivered captures that leave no room for complaints.
The front camera also performed well in night mode, even in environments with almost no light, and the portrait mode has precise cropping with blur that deserves a 9 on a scale of 0 to 10.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 surpassed 3 million points on the benchmark
Under the hood, the Motorola Signature runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, and the number that appeared on AnTuTu was 3,032,922 points. That’s over 3 million, with 929,000 for CPU, 1,185,000 for GPU, and 447,000 for memory, numbers that place the device among the most powerful on the Android market at this time.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 works with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage, a combination that makes the Motorola Signature extremely fast in any task.
The point of concern is the heating: during the benchmark, the device’s frame went from 33°C to 45°C, which is high and may bother those who play for long periods. Even with the liquid cooling system that Motorola advertises, the sides heated up noticeably. The battery consumed 5% during the test.
1.5K Extreme AMOLED display with 165 Hz and Pantone validation
The Extreme AMOLED display of the Motorola Signature is 6.8 inches with a 1.5K resolution and brightness that reaches 6,200 nits.
In practice, this means you can see everything on the screen with the sun shining directly on it, without needing to shade with your hand or look for a canopy to read a message.
The refresh rate goes up to 165 Hz in games, automatically activated by GameTime, while in normal use it stays at up to 120 Hz.
The Extreme AMOLED display features Dolby Vision, HDR10 Plus, and Pantone validated calibration, ensuring that the black on the screen is true black and not a disguised gray.
For those who work with images or simply want the best visual experience, the display of the Motorola Signature is a chapter apart.
5,200 mAh battery, 125W charging, and 7 Android updates
The Motorola Signature comes with a 5,200 mAh silicon-carbon battery. The charger included in the box is 125W, although the device supports wired charging of up to 90W and wireless charging of up to 50W, which means fast recharges in both situations.
Motorola promises 7 Android updates for the Signature, which in practice means that the device has guaranteed support for many years.
With the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and 12 GB of RAM, the expectation is that the hardware will handle these updates without losing performance over time.
The device also features IP68 and IP69 certification for water resistance, military certification MIL-STD-810H for extreme conditions, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the display with four times more scratch resistance.
Premium finish, Bowers & Wilkins audio, and dedicated artificial intelligence
The finish of the Motorola Signature is aluminum with a 2.5D curved edge all around. The frame is well-crafted, without burrs or excess, and the device gives the impression of a product designed with attention to detail, something that Motorola has not always delivered in previous models.
The audio has Bowers & Wilkins certification, the same as the brand’s premium headphones, with Dolby Atmos for richer sound.
The Motorola Signature also features a physical button dedicated to Moto AI artificial intelligence on the left side, which provides direct access to resources such as Perplexity, Copilot, creativity, and productivity tools.
The Extreme AMOLED display also includes Smart Water Touch, which differentiates water splashes from finger touches, preventing accidental activations.
Price, discounts, and what’s in the box
The Motorola Signature costs R$ 9,000, but with a one-time payment via Pix, the discount is 10%, bringing it down to R$ 8,100.
With the coupon SIGNATURE1000, the device is R$ 7,099 for a one-time payment, a total discount of nearly R$ 2,000 off the list price. For those who prefer to pay in installments, it’s 21 times interest-free at a total of R$ 8,000.
In the box, you get the device, the 125W charger, and the USB-C to USB-C cable. There is no case or screen protector, which is a disappointing absence for a R$ 9,000 device, but Motorola offers the option to purchase a case and even Moto Buds Loop headphones directly from the website along with the Signature. The device is available in black and green.
Does the Motorola Signature convince at the price?
The Motorola Signature is the most complete device the brand has ever launched.
With DxOMark gold seal on the cameras, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 surpassing 3 million on the benchmark, and an Extreme AMOLED display that competes with any flagship on the market, the technical package is hard to contest.
The point of concern is the heating of the frame during intense use and the price of R$ 9,000 which, even with discounts, places the Signature in direct competition with Samsung and Apple.
Would you buy a Motorola for R$ 7,000? Do you think the brand can compete on equal terms with Samsung and Apple in the premium segment? Share in the comments what caught your attention the most about the Signature.
