The result of the merger between Asea and Brown, Boveri & Cie in 1988, ABB is a multinational company headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, a global leader in energy and automation technology. Operating in over 100 countries and employing more than 130,000 people, ABB is recruiting new workers on this May 15 for its units in Brazil, in the states of São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, and Pará. Project Technician – Sorocaba and São Paulo, SP

Prerequisites: Technician in Industrial Automation, Electronics, Mechatronics, Instrumentation; Basic knowledge of programming languages established by IEC-61131; Basic knowledge of configuration in PLC (Programmable Logic Controller); Knowledge of Ethernet networks and basic concepts of communication protocols: (FF, Profibus, DeviceNet, Profinet, Modbus RTU and TCP); Knowledge of applicable standards and tests for automation panels; Knowledge of GED (Electronic Document Management); Knowledge of AutoCAD.
Some of the main responsibilities: Participate in technical meetings with clients and internal meetings; Develop hardware and software projects for automation panels; Make technical specifications for purchasing materials for the national and international market; Perform internal and external testing on automation panels; Conduct FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests) with clients.

Junior Testing Technician – Sorocaba, SP

Prerequisites: Technician in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Electroelectronics; Required Training: NR-10; Behavioral Competencies: collaboration, quality focus, energy, flexibility, learning focus.
Main responsibilities: Test the panels according to the ABB Administrative Process and IEC 62271 standard and its parts; Ensure that all products are tested with quality; Correctly fill out project documentation; Knowledge of using testing equipment; Knowledge of the correct application of safety standards; Fill out reports to generate statistical data on non-conformities.

Field Technical Inspector – Sorocaba, SP

Prerequisites: Full technician preferred in Electronics or Electrical Engineering; Current knowledge and experience in the portfolio focused on mission-critical (UPS products); Desired knowledge of ATS and STS products; Experience in field services, with availability for frequent travel; Knowledge of Electrical Safety Standards and Power Electrical Systems; Advanced English for certification on products and conducting training for foreign audiences.
Some of the main responsibilities: Conduct inspections on systems, equipment, and products, using knowledge of operational routines and verifying compliance with Technical Procedures, Safety, and Administrative Standards; Identify equipment failures and request corrective actions, as well as assist in troubleshooting the equipment and provide recommendations to prevent reoccurrence; Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of medium complexity, which includes disassembly, analysis, and technical evaluation of systems and components, followed by repairs, refurbishments, assembly, synchronization, calibration among others in their area of operation, based on inspections and requests received, maintaining a good relationship with clients and understanding their needs; Inform management about the progress of field activities and highlight opportunities/risk mitigation.
