Shineray Invests in the Expansion of Its Factory in Suape, Generating 100 New Direct Jobs and Reinforcing Local Development.
Shineray, one of the leading motorcycle manufacturers in Brazil, announced a significant investment of R$ 75 million to expand its factory located in the Suape Industrial Port Complex in Pernambuco. The expansion was formalized with the signing of the land deed between Paulo Perez, director of Shineray Motos in Brazil, and Márcio Guiot, president of the Port of Suape. The ceremony took place during the opening of the Multimodal Nordeste 2024 fair.
Details of Shineray’s Factory Expansion
The current factory of Shineray in Suape is installed on an area of 50,000 square meters and will be expanded to occupy 77,000 square meters.
According to Paulo Perez, the goal of this expansion is to increase the production capacity of motorcycles, including new models that will be manufactured locally.

From empty land to a high-end house, wooden construction uses a lightweight system, metal structure for the foundation, ventilated ceramic cladding, and special windows to create an efficient and comfortable living space throughout the year.
“Our intention is to increase motorcycle manufacturing. The number of models produced locally has already increased,” says the director.
Currently, the plant produces 12 models of combustion motorcycles, in addition to three models of quadricycles and eight electric models, which include scooters, motorcycles, and bicycles.
With the expansion, the company hopes not only to increase production but also to further diversify its product line to meet the growing demand in the national market.
One of the most relevant aspects of the investment is the creation of new jobs.
The factory expansion will result in the hiring of an additional 100 direct workers, as well as generating 160 indirect jobs, significantly enhancing the economic impact in the region. Currently, Shineray’s factory in Suape employs 350 people.
“The factory expansion represents significant growth not only for Shineray but also for the Suape Complex as a whole, as all of our cargo arrives through Suape,” comments Paulo Perez.
The expectation is that the expansion will bring even more activity and opportunities for the port and local communities.
Construction Schedule
The expansion project for the factory is already finalized, and construction is expected to begin in October 2024.
The estimated timeframe for the completion of construction and the start of operations in the new facility is 18 months, meaning that the new part of the factory should be fully operational by April 2026.
One of the differentiators of the new facility will be the implementation of an energy self-sufficiency system.
Paulo Perez revealed that the company plans to install solar panels in the new area, allowing the factory to operate in a more sustainable manner.
“The new unit will be interesting, as we are planning to be energy self-sufficient with the implementation of solar panels,” he explained.
The land for the expansion was acquired by Shineray for R$ 5.5 million, a strategic investment that reinforces the company’s commitment to the growth and sustainability of its operations in Brazil.
Impact on the Port of Suape
The investment by Shineray in Suape also highlights the growing importance of the Industrial Port Complex for the economic development of the region.
Márcio Guiot, president of the Port of Suape, emphasized that the expansion of Shineray’s factory is an example of how the port has attracted investments and contributed to job creation and the strengthening of local infrastructure.
In addition to signing the deed for the factory expansion, the Port of Suape launched a census targeting the business community during the Multimodal Nordeste 2024 event.
The census, which will remain open for 30 days, aims to create a detailed profile of the workforce in companies located in the 12 development hubs of the complex.
Altogether, these companies employ around 20,000 people.
“The census is a proposal to create value to keep knowledge within Suape,” explained Márcio Guiot. “Our intention is to interact with this information, ensuring that workers will be prepared well in advance.”
The census also aims to establish strategic partnerships with institutions such as Senac and Senai to promote specific training for local workers.
In this way, the Port of Suape intends not only to attract new investments but also to ensure that the local workforce is trained to meet future market demands.
Shineray’s Future Perspectives
The expansion of the factory of Shineray in Suape marks an important step in the company’s growth strategy in Brazil.
With the increase in production capacity and the creation of new jobs, Shineray is positioning itself to meet the growing demand for motorcycles and electric vehicles, sectors that have shown significant growth potential in the country.
The investment in energy self-sufficiency also highlights the company’s concern for sustainability, an increasingly relevant topic in the global context.
The use of solar panels in the new unit will not only reduce operational costs but also contribute to lowering the company’s carbon footprint.
Lastly, the involvement of the Port of Suape in creating value for the companies located in the complex reflects a proactive approach to attracting and retaining investments.
With the launch of the business census, Suape demonstrates its commitment to sustainable development and the preparation of the local workforce to meet future challenges.
