DOF Subsea Is Hiring Crane Operator, Deckhand, Third Officer, and Offshore Vessel Superintendent for Rio de Janeiro

At the end of last month, DOF Subsea announced that at least three vessels from its fleet would be mobilized to carry out flexible pipes, risers, and inspection of underwater and offshore equipment in the Campos Basin, Santos Basin, Marlim Field, and Espírito Santo Basin for Petrobras.

Petrobras’ contracts with the Norwegian offshore service provider are worth over US$ 110 million, with a planned startup in the fourth quarter of 2020 and an estimated execution period of 550 days.

Crane Operator III (Reserve Registration) – Rio de Janeiro

  • Experience on PLSV, DSV, and RSV vessels.
  • Level III Crane Operator Certificate
  • CBSP; Load Handling Course and NR-35
  • Desired experience in Subsea Operations

Third Officer

  • Higher education in Bachelor of Nautical Sciences and/or approval in a merchant marine officer training course. STCW II/1
  • Required competency according to STCW- 2ON
  • Full DP Certificate;
  • Certificates: TBS-1, EBCP or EOPN, EGPO, ECIA, EESS, EPOE, EPSM, and EGPO
  • Desirable certificates: HiPAP, ESCM, HUET, EERR, and Nrs
  • Experience as a Third Officer on PLSV, light Construction Vessel, Drilling Ships, or Maritime Units;
  • Advanced English;

Deckhand – Rio de Janeiro

  • Maritime Aquaviary Training, deckhand license, and CIR (STCW II/5)
  • Technical knowledge of equipment, materials, and onboard operations;
  • Knowledge of national and international codes governing their activity;
  • TBS-1 Certificate; EBCP Certificate
  • Desirable Certificates: Confined Space, Working at Heights, Hot Work, CESS, CERR, MCIA, HUET
  • Desirable experience on AHTS vessels.
  • NECESSARY ACTUAL EMBARKATION EXPERIENCE AS A DECKHAND IN MARITIME SUPPORT.

Vessel Superintendent – Rio de Janeiro

  • Graduation in: Merchant Marine Officer (Nautical Sciences), Naval Engineering, Mechanics, Electrical, or related fields.
  • Technical experience in the oil and gas industry and offshore operations;
  • Experience in the technical management of special type vessels (RSV, PLSV, or AHTS)
  • Experience in foreign companies in the segment
  • Experience in project management for Docking and acceptance testing of new contracts in Brazil
  • Management of risks, costs, and schedule;
