Using New Technologies to Support Extreme Temperatures, the New Pressure Vessel Promises to Strongly Contribute to the Oil and Natural Gas Industry. The Multittech Project Received R$ 2 Million in Investments Over the Last 18 Months.

The oil and natural gas industry continues to improve and has a new high-tech equipment this Thursday, (01/12). This is a new pressure vessel developed by the São Paulo-based company Multittech, which aims to bring more efficiency for use in extreme temperatures, strong impacts, and vibrations in critical areas. Thus, the project promises to modernize and bring more efficiency to exploration campaigns in the national territory.

Multittech’s New Pressure Vessel Is the New Bet to Ensure More Efficiency and Safety in Oil and Natural Gas Sector Explorations

The company from the interior of São Paulo, Multittech, has a new project underway and promises to strongly contribute to the ventures of the oil and natural gas industry in the coming years.

The company has invested R$ 2 million over the last 18 months to develop new equipment and research aimed at increasing efficiency under extreme temperature conditions, intense vibrations, and impacts during exploration campaigns in the sector.

Among the various pieces of equipment developed during this project period, the standout was the pressure vessel for testing with pumps of up to 20,000 psi — 5 meters x 10 inches of internal diameter.

The equipment is the company’s new bet for the oil and natural gas industry, as it withstands extreme conditions and could contribute to greater safety during drilling and exploration of fuels in Brazil.

“The internal and external pressure tests replicate the deep or ultra-deep environment of wells, with the mission of validating the sealing of components and well equipment such as pipelines and hydraulic lines, ensuring their operation under extreme conditions,” explained civil engineer Anselmo Fioranelli, a master’s degree holder in Structural Engineering from USP and responsible for Multittech’s tests.

Multittech’s Project Followed Market Oil and Gas Standards to Ensure Good Performance of the New Pressure Vessel

The entire research conducted by Multittech’s internal team followed the recommendations and standards of Petrobras and the National Agency of Petroleum for the development of the project during the last 18 months.

This way, the new equipment may bring even more benefits and, of course, safety in fuel explorations, as the pressure vessel is one of the key components for oil production in Brazil.

This is because the company serves several large players in the national fuel market, thus needing even more efficiency and quality in the equipment delivered to the industry.

“Reliability assessments, combined with virtual simulation and real laboratory, allow for early validation within a shorter timeframe, and then extrapolate it to a longer period, validating that the equipment will function well for at least 20 years with little or no maintenance,” Fioranelli concluded.

Now, Multittech will continue research on the project, aiming for improvements in the pressure vessel for even greater control of its benefits.
