Despite The Bad Reputation Of Pit Bulls, Other Breeds Require Even Greater Care, Requiring Strict Training, Early Socialization, And Responsible Management

Despite the reputation that the pit bull carries, animal behavior specialists warn that there are breeds that are even more difficult to handle. These dogs are not aggressive by nature, but require experience, a controlled environment, and proper socialization.

Presa Canario: Robust And Dominant, Requires Attention

The Presa Canario is one such example. Originally bred for guarding and work, this robust dog has a dominant temperament and a strong territorial instinct. Therefore, it requires experienced owners who can impose clear limits from puppyhood.

In homes with small children or busy environments, the risk increases. Shouting, playing, or sudden movements can be interpreted as threats, leading the animal to aggressive reactions.

Fila Brasileiro: Suspicious Of Strangers

Another dog that requires special attention is the Fila Brasileiro. Naturally a guard dog, the Fila is extremely loyal to the family but is suspicious of strangers.

This suspicion can result in aggressiveness in situations it perceives as threatening. Proper management, with early socialization, is essential to avoid problems.

Tosa Inu: Origin Of Fighting In Japan

The Tosa Inu, also known as Tosa Japanese, has its origins in dog fighting in Japan. With impressive physical strength and a reserved temperament, this breed does not usually tolerate provocations. Without proper socialization and strict training, it may react aggressively.

Experts’ View On Aggressive Dogs

Experts emphasize that no breed is inherently bad. The behavior of dogs depends mainly on the preparation of their owners. Stable environments, well-defined routines, and constant training help ensure the emotional balance of these animals.

Acquiring a dog of these breeds should be a responsible decision. It is essential to evaluate one’s own lifestyle, the time available to train the animal, and the ability to ensure a safe environment. A conscious choice is the best way to protect the well-being of the animal and the people around.

The care in choosing and properly managing these breeds ensures a safe and harmonious coexistence, respecting the natural characteristics of each animal.
