E-Bike Manufacturer Launches Automatic Electric Bike With Simple Appearance But Comes With Top-Notch Equipment And Super-Powerful Battery
The British company Volt, specialized in manufacturing e-bikes, has just launched the second iteration of its flagship model, and this time the electric bike is automatic. The simple-looking design of the new Infinity was achieved by hiding the battery inside the down tube of the frame so that it wouldn’t detract from the overall design.
But don’t be fooled, it only looks simple. The automatic electric bike is packed with state-of-the-art components and, according to the manufacturer, can be used not only for leisure but also for commuting to work and other errands in the city. The second-generation Volt Infinity is equipped with a Shimano 250 W motor and weighs just 23.6 kg.
An automatic Alfine Di2 eight-speed transmission, also from Shimano, results in a more comfortable ride. The maximum speed that the automatic electric bike from Volt can reach is 25 kilometers per hour.

Despite the simple-looking design, the e-bike is equipped with a super-powerful battery. Each charge of the super battery of 504Wh gives the bike a range of 145 kilometers. According to the manufacturer, a full charge requires a four-hour connection to a standard outlet.
According to James Metcalfe, one of the co-founders of Volt, the new automatic electric bike Infinity was built with the intention of providing riders with “a luxury experience” at a lower price than previous bike models from the company.
The wheels have a diameter of 28 inches and come factory-equipped with Schwalbe tires to ensure they can be used on the road. When pedaling on rocky terrain, the additional comfort provided by a SR Suntour suspension fork is appreciated. Also from Shimano, it comes factory-equipped with hydraulic disc brakes known as the S700 Alfine.
Volt Automatic Electric Bike Comes Equipped With Lighting And Lock To Provide More Security To Owners
Moreover, for added safety, there is a lighting system and a lock built into the frame of the automatic electric bike from Volt. There is a Shimano display located in the middle of the handlebars, which allows control of the electric motor’s assistance levels, as well as the bike’s lighting.
According to Volt, the cost of its automatic electric bike in the UK is €2,999, which is approximately R$ 19,400 at the current exchange rate. When considering all the top-notch components included in the bike, the price is indeed quite reasonable.
As of now, the Volt Infinity is sold exclusively in the British market. The manufacturer has not indicated whether it plans to market it in other countries.
