Leading The Electric Sector In The National Territory, The Neoenergia Company Is Now Making Strong Investments Focused On Improvements In The Infrastructure And Technology Of Its Energy Supply Services To Ensure More Quality To Customers.

The energy production and transmission company Neoenergia is making strong investments in technology and infrastructure for its supply services. This Tuesday (07/19), the company aims to reduce energy outages during maintenance of its structures and now ensures better quality energy supply to almost 15 million families served by the company across the national territory.

The Company’s Investments In Infrastructure And Technology Ensure More Efficient Energy Supply Services To Municipalities Throughout Brazil

Technology and infrastructure are the two pillars of the energy sector when it comes to resource supply services, and in order to maintain its high quality standards, Neoenergia is now investing in these areas in its operations. The main objective is to provide quality service to almost 15 million families with their homes powered by the company’s energy.

Among the main investments, the company stands out in the regions of the Federal District and in Pernambuco, as Neoenergia Brasília and Neoenergia Pernambuco, respectively, utilize the Big Jumper. This type of equipment ensures greater safety in energy transmission and reduces the need for resource shutdowns during maintenance work on the structures by up to 80%.

Thus, energy distributors have been making investments in this type of technology to maintain resource supply, especially in areas more affected by power outages. “This equipment acts as a temporary alternative electrical grid, allowing customers to stay powered while maintenance and improvement work is conducted on the main electrical grid, thereby minimizing customer outages. This way, our teams can work safely on improvements and modernization of the electrical infrastructure of the Federal District,” commented the Technical Superintendent Director of Neoenergia Brasília, Antônio Carlos Queiroz.

In addition to this type of infrastructure, Neoenergia Brasília has been standing out in service quality through the use of relays, smart electronic devices that protect the underground networks they are integrated into. This way, the equipment works to isolate a fault and prevent power outages, as well as adding reliability to network protectors.

Neoenergia Brasília And Pernambuco Stand Out In Investments Focused On The Adoption Of Technology In Energy Supply Services

In addition to using even more efficient equipment in energy supply infrastructure, Neoenergia Brasília and Neoenergia Pernambuco stand out among the country’s distributors for utilizing an even smarter and automated electrical network, with the adoption of cutting-edge equipment for this purpose.

Only during the first five months of 2022, the Brasília company installed 189 reclosers, while last year, there were 379. The Pernambuco distributor had a total of 223 installed devices in the first half of this year, while in 2021, there were 314 installations. All reclosers are automated and ensure greater safety in energy supply services.

Finally, Neoenergia Brasília also made strong investments in the installation of 55 self-healing schemes between January and May of this year. These devices allow for a quick verification of problems in energy transmission and, automatically, work to restore resource supply to residences. Thus, the entire transmission line becomes even more efficient, technological, and of much higher quality for the end consumer.
