Nissan Launches Kait in Brazil with Totally New Look Starting at R$ 117 Thousand, More Safety, Updated Technology, and Renewed Design.

Nissan launches the Kait in Brazil with a totally new look starting at R$ 117 thousand, and the official arrival of the model already has a set date: December 11, at dealerships across the country.

The news was revealed this Wednesday (3) and features a compact SUV that replaces the Kicks Play, bringing a completely revamped design, safety improvements, updated interior, and repositioned prices.

Produced in Resende (RJ), the model arrives to compete with Fiat Pulse, Volkswagen Tera, and Renault Kardian, reinforcing the brand’s presence in the most competitive segment of the Brazilian market.

Price and Versions: The New Kait Arrives More Competitive

The lineup debuts with four versions, opening space for different consumer profiles.

The Kait Active, offered exclusively for direct sales and PCD audience, starts at R$ 117,990, reinforcing the main message that Nissan launches the Kait in Brazil with a totally new look starting at R$ 117 thousand.

Above it are the Kait Sense Plus (R$ 139,590), the Kait Advance Plus (R$ 149,890), and the new top-of-the-line, Kait Exclusive (R$ 152,990).

Nissan also offers financing with zero interest over 18 installments, 60% down payment, and a R$ 3 thousand bonus included in the price—a strategy that should boost sales right at launch.

Updated Design: The Most Radical Visual Change from Nissan

The most striking point of the news lies in the design. The automaker has abandoned the visual identity adopted in recent years, including the V-Motion grille, which marked models like Sentra, Versa, and Kicks.

Nissan launches the Kait in Brazil with a totally new look starting at R$ 117 thousand, and this is especially clear at the front:

The grille now extends down to the bottom of the bumper.

The cut follows a line contrary to the brand’s tradition.

Horizontal trims and glossy black finishes create a sense of spaciousness.

The bumper has a new central cut, more refined.

The DRLs move to the bumper and take on the shape of three horizontal bars, while the main lighting remains at the top, sharper and more aggressive.

The headlights are also connected by a black bar that holds the new Nissan logo.

The hood, higher on the sides, features creases that enhance the SUV’s presence.

Sides and Rear Follow Kicks’ Base, But with Their Own Personality

Even maintaining the P02F platform and the structure of the old Kicks Play, the Kait brings visible differences:

Wheels with a new dark metallic design.

C-Pillar with exclusive trim.

Mirrors in glossy black, reinforcing the premium look.

At the rear, the transformation is even more evident.

The trunk lid is now new and no longer houses the license plate, which is now positioned on the bumper.

The taillights follow a horizontal style with LED graphics and a central black bar, offering a modern and elegant appearance.

Interior Evolves and Adopts More Technology

Although the internal structure is familiar, the Kait received important updates that reinforce the feeling of modernity.

The instrument panel is now fully digital at 7 inches, with new graphics and customization via the steering wheel.

The multimedia center is one of the main changes:

For the first time, the SUV offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wirelessly.

A nine-inch screen in the higher versions and an eight-inch screen in the entry-level versions.

Pioneer system positioned higher for easier visibility.

The air conditioning returns to being digital, including features previously unavailable even in the top configuration.

The 15W induction charger and the new two-tone seats complete the interior update.

Engine Remains the Same Without Turbo This Time

Thus, despite the changes in design and technology, the engine remains the already known HR16DE 1.6 naturally aspirated, delivering up to 113 hp and 15.2 kgfm of torque.

The X-Tronic CVT gearbox simulates up to six gears and maintains a Sport mode but does not offer a turbocharged option like some rivals.

Dimensions and Trunk Space Remain Strong Differentials

The Kait retains proportions that please in the segment:

4.30 m in length;

1.76 m in width;

2.62 m in wheelbase;

Trunk space of 432 liters, one of the largest in the category.

Safety is the Major Leap of the New Model

Thus, now equipped with the Nissan Safety Shield 360, the SUV offers 17 assistances divided among monitoring, response, and protection:

Adaptive cruise control with stop & go;

Lane change alert with braking intervention;

Blind spot monitoring;

360º vision with object detection;

Automatic emergency braking.

The equipment is made possible by a new front camera and radar integrated into the Nissan logo.

New Brand Bet to Dominate the Segment

So Nissan launches the Kait in Brazil with a totally new look starting at R$ 117 thousand as a direct response to market trends.

With updated technology, a robust safety package, modernized design, and competitive pricing, the model arrives to strongly compete for consumers seeking a more complete entry-level SUV.
