The Expectation Surrounding The Nissan Z Nismo Was High, And Enthusiasts Were Hoping For Something Extraordinary. However, The New Car From The Japanese Automaker Does Not Showcase Significant Changes Compared To The Standard Model, As Previously Speculated.

Nissan Finally Presented To The World The Much-Awaited Nismo Version Of Its Nissan Z Line. The Sports Model Promises To Deliver An Exciting Driving Experience. However, For Some Fans Of The Model, The News Was Not As Exciting As Expected.

The New Version Of The Nissan Z Line Brings Performance Improvements, But Does Not Meet The Expectations Of More Purist Fans

According To Information Released By The Company, The Nissan Z Nismo Will Have Only 20 Hp More Than Its Sibling, The Nissan Z.

Moreover, The Improvements Primarily Focus On The Chassis, Suspension System, Brakes, And New Rolling Measures.

While These Changes May Provide Slightly Better On-Track Performance, The Absence Of A Manual Transmission Option May Be A Disappointment For Auto Enthusiasts.

The Power Of The 3-Liter V-6 Twin-Turbo Engine Has Increased To 425 Hp, And The Torque Has Reached 53.1 m·kgf, An Increase Of Approximately 10%.

These Enhancements May Not Be Exceptional, But They Should Still Provide An Exciting Driving Experience For Sports Car Lovers.

Nissan’s Decision To Offer Only The Nine-Speed Automatic Transmission May Come As A Surprise To Many.

However, The Company States That They Conducted Research With Owners And Found That They Desired Shorter Shift Times To Improve On-Track Dynamic Performance.

Thus, The Automatic Transmission Became The Ideal Choice For The Z Nismo. Still, The Manual Transmission Option, Available In The Nissan Z Line, Will Not Be Present In The Nismo Model.

To Compensate For The Lack Of A Manual Transmission Option, Nissan Focused On Other Improvements, Such As The Remapping Of The Engine Management Software, Optimized For Track Mode, Making Gear Changes Quicker And More Efficient.

The Launch Control Has Also Been Enhanced, Further Highlighting The Sports Driving Experience.

The Suspension Of The Z Nismo Has Been Reinforced To Provide Greater Precision And Grip In Corners, While The Wheels Have Been Designed To Be Lighter, Even With A Half-Inch Increase In Width (10 Inches In The Front And 10.5 In The Rear).

The Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT600 Tires, 275/35R19 In The Front And 285/35R19 In The Rear, Also Contribute To The Car’s Performance On Track.

Another Significant Change Is The 2.5% Increase In The Chassis Torsional Rigidity.

With Stiffer Bushings And Mounting Points, Along With Larger Shock Absorbers, The Z Nismo Promises Impressive Agility On The Race Tracks.

The Larger Brake Discs, Measuring 381 mm In The Front And 350 mm In The Rear, With 4-Piston Calipers Equipped With Special Track Performance Pads, Ensure Exceptional Braking Capability.

Nissan Reinforces The Iconic Letter “Z” In The Nomenclature Of The Nismo Version To Emphasize Its Sporting Essence

Visually, The Z Nismo Has Also Received Some Modifications.

The Front Has Been Redesigned And Now Features The “Grand Nose” Designation, Accompanied By Details Such As The Restyled Grille And Winglets Called “Canards” At The Edges.

The Rear Also Received An Update To The Spoiler, Which Is Now Taller And Wider, Thus Improving The Car’s Aerodynamic Performance.

Inside, The Red Theme, Also Present In The External Details, Is Maintained In The New Digital Dashboard Graphics And The Anodized Stop/Start And Drive Mode Selector Buttons, Both Located On The Console.

The Recaro Seats Made Of Leather And Synthetic Suede, With Only Manual Adjustment, Feature The Nismo Logo Embossed In The Center Of The Backrest, Adding A Sporty Touch To The Vehicle’s Interior.

Nissan Has Not Yet Disclosed The Official Price Of The Nissan Z Nismo, But The Model Is Expected To Hit The Market In October.

With All These Improvements And The Pursuit Of Offering An Even More Exciting Driving Experience, Nissan Hopes To Win Over Sports Car Enthusiasts And Establish Itself As A Reference In The Segment.

It Remains To Enthusiasts To Await The Official Launch Of The Much-Awaited Nissan Z Nismo.
