The New Entry Version of the Nivus Arrives with Competitive Pricing, 200 TSI Engine, and Some Cuts in Finish. But Does It Make More Sense Than the Competitors? Come See All About the Nivus Sense 2025.
If you’re looking for an automatic car, modern and within the limit of R$120 thousand, the Nivus Sense 2025 may be exactly what you were looking for. Volkswagen officially launched this version during Expo Londrina, aimed specifically at the PCD audience, but also available for those looking for a cheaper car without giving up on quality.
The starting price is R$119,990 and despite the lower price, the model comes with many features that we typically don’t see in this segment. Of course, there were some cuts here and there, but the final balance was surprising. Spoiler: yes, it has wheel covers. But don’t worry, that’s not even close to the most important point.
What It Has (and What It Does Not Have) in the Nivus Sense 2025
The first thing that stands out in the Nivus Sense 2025 is that, despite being the entry version, it retained the 200TDI engine, the same as the more expensive versions. This means up to 128 hp with ethanol, a torque of 20.4 kgfm, and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 10 seconds. Smart performance, great for city and highway driving.

On the outside, the car is practically identical to the more expensive versions. The design is the same as the facelift launched in 2023, with full LED headlights, front grille with a black piano finish, and a stylized rear spoiler. The only thing that reveals its “simpler side” are the steel wheels with 16-inch wheel covers. Still, visually, the car remains elegant and modern.
Oh, and before you ask: the mirrors are the same color as the car, and the headlights are indeed LED, nothing like that yellow bulb we usually see in entry versions out there.
Interior Impresses: Digital Dashboard and Leather Steering Wheel
On the inside, the Nivus Sense 2025 continues to impress. The steering wheel, for example, is covered in leather, which is extremely rare in an entry version. Another positive point is the 100% digital instrument panel, with an 8-inch screen and good resolution.
The seats have fabric with lighter details in the center and blue stitching, giving it an exclusive touch. The trunk has a capacity of 415 liters, and the rear bench is split (60/40). Even with some simplifications in the finish (with a lot of hard plastic, as was expected), the interior visual leaves a good impression.
And there’s more: the Volksplay multimedia system is also present, with good connectivity and a touchscreen. The air conditioning is analog (and single-zone), but it does the job.

Cheaper Than Its Rivals, But Delivers More?
If we compare it to the Renegade 1.3 Turbo, for example, the Nivus Sense 2025 has a weaker engine (128 hp compared to 185 hp of the Jeep), but makes up for it in fuel consumption, weight, and urban behavior. The Renegade is significantly heavier, less agile, and consumes more. In terms of price, the Jeep starts at more than R$143 thousand, which is well above the limit for PCD exemption.
And what about the T-Cross Sense? The very “brother” of the Nivus is even more basic. It comes with fewer comfort items, even simpler finishing, and also costs more. The difference is that the T-Cross is slightly more spacious inside, but loses in style and equipment.
In reality? The Nivus Sense 2025 can be considered one of the most balanced options under R$120 thousand today. It drives well, is economical, has a good list of equipment, and still delivers a modern look.
Who Can Buy with Exemption and How It Works
The Nivus Sense 2025 is primarily available for the PCD audience. To be entitled to the IPI and ICMS exemption (in the case of state exemption), it is necessary to present a medical report, have a special CNH, and follow the criteria set by the Federal Revenue and the State Treasury Secretariat.
However, the version can also be purchased by individuals; outside the exemption program, in this case, the price may vary slightly at dealerships, but it still remains a competitive option.
Where to Find the Nivus Sense 2025
The novelty is already available at Volkswagen dealerships throughout Brazil. To check availability in your city or region, just visit the official brand website or look for an authorized store. Volkswagen even offers support for those starting the tax exemption process.

Volkswagen is one of the strongest automakers in the Brazilian market, with domestic production and significant investment in technologies like TSI engines. The Nivus is produced in São Bernardo do Campo (SP) and has been gaining more and more space among compact SUVs, primarily for its efficiency and good cost-benefit ratio.
The brand bets on versions like the Nivus Sense 2025 to reach an audience looking for more accessible cars, but without giving up on connectivity, safety, and performance.
