On-site, a large area of “bota fora” is observed. Dump trucks and tractors are operating intensively. This earth is the result of excavation and site preparation. When asked, a worker confirmed: “It’s a bota fora.” The removed material aims to level and prepare the area for the construction of future facilities. Heavy machinery, such as hydraulic excavators, is at the highest point, removing a large volume of earth.

Operational Base And Toll Plaza: Construction At KM 303

The earth movement has a clear purpose. On-site, the operational base of Nova 381 will be constructed. Additionally, the future toll plaza will also be erected at this same point. This information was confirmed by personnel working on the project. The construction activities are focused on kilometer 303 of the highway.

The Highway Exploitation Plan (PER) initially indicated another location. The construction of the operational base was planned for kilometer 306. However, there was a change. The works were moved forward and the structure will be erected near KM 302, effectively at KM 303. It is important to note that other points of the Nova 381 project, such as turnaround locations, may also be changed.

Those traveling on the BR-381 in the Antônio Dias region need to be extra cautious. Trucks have been seen moving in the wrong direction. This flow is necessary for construction activities.
