The new Intelbras factory received preliminary environmental licensing, with exemption from installation licensing for the installation of the new factory in Tubarão, in the state of Santa Catarina. The document was issued by the Municipal Foundation for the Environment, from the city in the southern region of Santa Catarina last month. The New Factory Being Built in the State of Santa Catarina
The project in Santa Catarina will cover an area of 15,000 square meters and will be built on a 30,000-square-meter plot of land located between the newly inaugurated Ivane Fretta Moreira highway and the BR-101. The investments will amount to R$ 40 million, with an expectation of generating 120 direct jobs in the first year of operation. A date for the inauguration has not yet been established.
Fabio Sebastiani, director of Intelbras’ Business Unit, states that they are investing in the country, contributing to local economic development and bringing advanced technologies. According to Sebastiani, they will have a world-class factory, in addition to opportunities for generating direct and indirect jobs.

Other Investments from Intelbras Across Brazil
The new factory, Sebastiani adds, is part of Intelbras’ plan for physical and portfolio expansion, which already offers integrated solutions for different markets such as residential areas, corporate environments, agribusiness, health, and banking, as well as products for smart city projects.
In addition to the Tubarão facility, which will focus on producing energy items, the company is expanding its units in Manaus, Amazonas, Santa Rita, Minas Gerais, and São José, as anticipated by president Altair Silvestri in a recent interview with colleague Estela Benetti. In factories alone, the company’s investments for 2021 total R$ 170 million.

On 06/09, the Government of Pernambuco advanced the installation of a new factory in the state. Operating in the sector of high-complexity hospital pharmaceutical industries, Blau Farmacêutica may implement its industrial expansion project in Brazil at the Suape Complex, in the municipality of Cabo de Santo Agostinho, in the Metropolitan Region of Recife. Approximately R$ 1 billion may be invested in the project, generating 1,000 jobs.
In a meeting at the Palácio do Campo das Princesas with the governor of Pernambuco Paulo Câmara, the president of Blau Farmacêutica, Marcelo Han, estimated an investment of R$ 1 billion to set up the pharmaceutical company in Suape. He also anticipates the generation of 1,000 direct jobs, some of which will be directed towards hiring pharmacists. However, the realization of the actions depends on counteroffers.

According to him, Blau has chosen Pernambuco as the location for its new industrial and distribution headquarters, provided that the necessary counteroffers from the state are confirmed, as per ongoing negotiations.
