New Industry in the Serra Region Joined the Investment Incentive Program
The new factory, which will be developed with an investment of R$ 260 million, adopted the Investment Incentive Program in Espírito Santo (Invest-ES). This allowed the expansion of the factory’s plant, in addition to providing for the generation of new jobs in the State.
“This is an investment that will generate profits and job opportunities for the residents of Espírito Santo, as well as more development for the State.
We want an active and fair Espírito Santo for all citizens, and to achieve this goal, we will invest in education, infrastructure, and other areas. With this, we will generate more and more opportunities for the people of Espírito Santo,” said Governor Casagrande.
What is the RDG Aços do Brasil Group
The RDG Aços do Brasil Group is active in the Brazilian market with a product line that has applications across various segments in factories, such as automotive and naval, as well as in the construction sector.
In Espírito Santo, the headquarters of PRD is located in Linhares, and the second branch is located in Serra, where profiles, sheets, tubes, and roofs are produced.
The industries of the group are strategically located in areas covering more than 30,000 square meters. The company has sales offices in the states of Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, Bahia, and São Paulo and provides employment to numerous people.
According to Ricardo Pessanha, Secretary of State for Innovation and Development, Espírito Santo has shown a significant demonstration of competitiveness through its tax incentive policy, which has been a stimulus for factories in various segments.
“The Government has a broad vision of the economy of the state of Espírito Santo and its growth potential, which stands out within the Brazilian economy due to its competitiveness, attractive tax incentives, legal security, and quality of workforce and strategic location.
All the work planned by the Secretary of Innovation and Development is reflected in the market monitoring. The product of these activities is directly reflected in opportunities for the people of Espírito Santo and in the improvement of the quality of life in the State,” Pessanha emphasized.
RDG Group is Also the Owner of PRD
Ronaldo Roque Campo, General Director of the RDG Group, emphasized that the RDG group is also the owner of PRD, noting that the headquarters in Linhares has a unit in Civit, a municipality in Serra.
The establishment of the new factory unit in the Serra region, which will generate substantial job opportunities for residents, in Contorno, also in Serra, will allow the expansion of the range of products the company will produce.
“Currently, we serve a large part of Brazil. With the new factory in operation, we will increase our presence in the pipeline sector, screws, and other products. With this, it will be the third factory of Perfilados Rio Doce and will have an investment of R$ 260 million.
The factory area will cover 54,000 square meters within a total area of 150,000 square meters. The privileged location in the Serra region, in Espírito Santo, contributes to our product distribution logistics,” Campo said.
He further stated that the tax incentive policy chosen by the State Government was a stimulus to make the factory expansion project in the Serra region feasible and will also have a direct impact on job generation in the State.
“Our goal is to grow sustainably and attractively economically, as well as to be a reference in the market for metallurgical products through the competence of professionals and the satisfaction of customers,” commented the General Director of the RDG Group, adding that there is a forecast for a second investment phase of around R$ 100 million, which is still under evaluation by the group.
