Xiaomi has once again surprised the smart appliance sector with the launch of the Mijia Refrigerator Pro Dual System French 513L — a refrigerator focused on hygiene, technology, and energy efficiency. Unlike common refrigerators, the new model in the Mijia line not only preserves food: it sterilizes jars, food, and the entire interior of the compartment, using a technology called Ion Global Purification System, which promises a sterilization rate of 99.999%.
This feature is especially useful for those who want to preserve food safety in times of health concerns, cross-contamination, and waste of perishables.
Sterilization Technology and Extended Preservation
The standout feature of this model is the integration of the Ion Global Purification System, which generates purifying ions to eliminate microorganisms and odors inside the refrigerator. The system is capable of significantly increasing the shelf life of fruits, vegetables, meats, and dairy, delaying the natural deterioration of food.

The model offers a total capacity of 513 liters, divided as follows:
- 301 L for the main refrigerator;
- 183 L in the freezer;
- 29 L in a variable temperature zone, which can operate between −1 °C to 5 °C, ideal for wines, cold cuts, meats, or other temperature-sensitive foods.
This adaptable compartment transforms the refrigerator into an even more versatile appliance, capable of meeting different types of routines and consumption profiles.
Slim, Quiet, and Functional Design
At only 60 cm deep, the Mijia Refrigerator 513L is designed to fit into compact kitchens without sacrificing internal volume. Its modern look with French doors not only ensures a premium appearance but also greater internal organization.
Additionally, the appliance operates with a noise level of only 35 decibels, which is equivalent to a whisper. This makes it ideal for apartments or kitchens integrated with living rooms.
Dual Refrigeration System: More Freshness and Fewer Odors
Another important highlight is the dual refrigeration system, which separates the airflow between the freezer and the refrigerator. This prevents the mixing of smells between compartments and keeps food’s flavor and texture preserved for longer.
It is an advanced feature typically found only in top-of-the-line models, and now it also comes to Xiaomi’s portfolio.
Even with so many features, energy consumption is low: only 0.93 kWh per day, meeting energy efficiency requirements. For a large-capacity refrigerator, this value is one of the best in its category.
Price and Availability
In China, the official price of the refrigerator is 2,999 yuan, which is equivalent to about R$ 2,326 in direct conversion. With government subsidies, the price can drop to 2,399 yuan, around R$ 1,861.
However, there is no forecast for a global launch or an official arrival of the Mijia Refrigerator in Brazil. Importers may be able to bring the product, but it’s important to consider additional shipping and tax costs.
Is It Worth It?
If it reaches the Brazilian market, the 513 L refrigerator from Xiaomi could become a reference among smart refrigerators for:
- Combining sterilization and purification technology;
- Offering complete connectivity with smartphones;
