The new electric motorcycle from Yadea’s 2024 line of motorcycles and scooters is named Kemper. The manufacturer also announced a technological development of sodium battery, aiming to become the solution for new electric mobility in the near future.
New Electric Motorcycle Goes From 0 To 100 Km/h In Just 4.9s
The electric motorcycle features a unique charging experience with its fast charging technology. Equipped with a 320V 20Ah lithium iron phosphate battery, it can be charged as quickly as refueling with gasoline.
Utilizing fast DC charging from cars, the Yadea Kemper can reach 80% of battery capacity in just 10 minutes. The brand, which is also investing in sodium batteries, announces some performance numbers, highlighting a top speed of 160 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds.

Kemper Electric Motorcycle Is Packed With Cutting-Edge Technologies
Unlike conventional fuel-powered motorcycles, the Kemper features intelligent assistance through the Yadea Smart Assistant, which works with the Yadea app. Features include control with quick unlocking, GPS, security control, and anti-theft measures, battery monitoring, a 7-inch TFT display with real-time information about the vehicle’s status, controller, tire pressure and temperature, and motorcycle diagnostics.
Furthermore, it includes a high-definition 1080P camera with image stabilization, ensuring smooth recordings even on bumpy roads, and it captures the ride and saves backup copies. In case of an accident, the copy is automatically saved, with video footage before and after the impact.
The model and the news of the sodium battery development were presented during EICMA 2023. The company also showcased some new designs for KEENESS and a collection of lightweight electric vehicles. BYD Is Also Focusing On Sodium Battery
Following the release of studies and various projects to scale this type of cell, BYD is taking a crucial step by signing a contract worth 10 billion yuan (US$ 1.4 billion) for the construction of a new battery factory in Xuzhou, China. The annual production capacity of 30 GWh will make it the largest sodium battery factory in the world.
According to media reports, the contract was signed between Findreams Battery, BYD’s battery subsidiary, and the Chinese automaker Huaihai Group, which manufactures electric tricycles. It was announced that Xuzhou will become a battery production center for micro vehicles and scooters, considering that this type of battery fits well into micromobility.
