Applications Are Now Open for University Admission, and the Scholarship Is Offered to Any Student Who Is Not a Resident of the United States
A new opportunity is available for individuals interested in studying in the United States, more specifically, in the state of Michigan. This is because Saginaw Valley State University is now accepting applications for undergraduate and graduate programs, which will start in the second semester of this year, in September.

How Do Scholarships Work?
SVSU has a scholarship program called the President’s International Scholarship, through which annual scholarships ranging from US$ 1,000 to US$ 2,500 (approximately R$ 5,300 to R$ 13,300) are available for outstanding international students. The university aims to provide financial support to high-performing students while they study in the United States.
The criteria used by the institution to select scholarship recipients are based on the academic performance of the candidates. Thus, it is a competitive benefit, available only to those who achieve a high level of academic success. In this sense, good grades are essential for the selection of scholars.
About Applications
Recipients of the President’s International Scholarship program must be international students at the university. Therefore, residents of the United States cannot be considered. As for the field of study, there are no restrictions, as any international student from any of SVSU’s colleges may take advantage of the scholarship.
To apply, the interested party must at least have completed high school, as the scholarship is valid for both undergraduate and graduate programs. Thus, it is necessary to present the high school transcript and, if interested in a master’s or doctoral degree, also the undergraduate transcript. It is also required to have proficiency in the English language, as it will be used during classes.
There are no additional requests or forms required to apply for the scholarship, as international students accepted at Saginaw Valley State University automatically compete for this opportunity. Therefore, it is only required that the candidate first has an offer of admission to an undergraduate or graduate program at the institution.
