Renata Alves Advocates for the Incorporation of Novamed by EMS
According to the legal and Risk and Compliance director of Group NC, Renata Alves, EMS currently operates in Amazonas through Novamed, and the idea behind the incorporation is for consumers to recognize that the medication they purchase at a pharmacy is manufactured by the pharmaceutical industry present in the state of Amazonas.
The director also states that the intention is to extend EMS’s knowledge to the state, further strengthening the brand and its presence, as well as providing an expansion of its social action projects and fulfilling its social role in the country.
In addition to company representatives, the event also featured the presence of the head of the Department of Investment Attraction and Foreign Trade at Sedecti, Jeibi Medeiros, representing the secretary, Angelus Figueira; the superintendent of the Free Trade Zone of Manaus (Suframa), Algacir Polsin; among other invited participants.
In this regard, Jeibi Medeiros declared that Novamed is a factory that impresses with its processes, numbers, and modern, technology-filled environment. For him, the visit was of great interest, providing a better understanding of the work the company has been doing in the city of Manaus and how the investment is being applied, as it is a company that benefits from the tax incentives granted by the Government of Amazonas.
Algacir Polsin, in turn, opined that the investment for the incorporation of Novamed into EMS will be of great importance, given that all aspects of drug and capsule production will be brought to Manaus, thus expanding job creation and revenue in the region.
