The news from Nubank keeps coming! Right after announcing the launch of its own cryptocurrency, Nucoin, the virtual bank revealed a new technology aimed at users interested in placing bets during the 2022 World Cup. Named NuBolão, the technology is being gradually rolled out to account holders.

The technology aims to facilitate betting among Nubank users without the need for paper, pen, and conversation. Thus, Nubank will provide account holders with a function that allows creating a betting pool with a group of friends or family.

For the more adventurous customers, there will be an option to bet on the Overall Ranking, which involves all users of the bank. For this category, points will be awarded to the winners, with rewards paid to those who achieve the highest scores.

How Do Nubolão Bets Work?

The launch of the bank’s new technology is part of a series of innovations that the fintech is preparing for the 2022 World Cup period. Check below how to bet on Nubank’s NuBolão:

The first step is to access the Nubank app and then go to the NuBolão feature. After that, just enter the results you believe to be correct for each match. You can also choose to participate in the new technology or create a private betting pool with friends, family, and colleagues.

Bets must be placed up to 30 minutes before the start of each match, and they will be unique, meaning one person cannot make a result suggestion for the private betting pool and another for the Overall Ranking.

What Will the Prizes Be?

The first-place winner of the betting cycle will receive R$ 20 thousand in a Nubank Box. The second and third places will receive R$ 12 thousand and R$ 5 thousand respectively. The three winners will also receive a McDonald’s gift card worth R$ 3 thousand, valid for six months.

For the top three placed throughout the entire betting period, Nubank will pay R$ 60 thousand to the first place, R$ 35 thousand to the second, and R$ 25 thousand to the third. They will also receive the McDonald’s voucher of R$ 3 thousand, valid for six months.

Regarding the dynamics of closed betting pools, the prizes will be defined by the users themselves. Each customer, however, can only participate in up to 100 betting groups. Remember, you need to have a Nubank account to compete.
