The Expansion of the Market Shows How Brazil, Already Consolidated as One of the Largest Producers in the World, Continues to Win New Partners and Expand Its International Presence
The Brazilian agribusiness has just conquered another unprecedented market for beef, expanding its international presence and reinforcing the strategy of diversifying exports.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) confirmed that Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, in the Caribbean, will be the new buyer.
Negotiation and Expansion
After sanitary negotiations, the government authorized the export of beef, offals, and meat products to the Caribbean country.

The water that almost everyone throws away after cooking potatoes carries nutrients released during the preparation and can be reused to help in the development of plants when used correctly at the base of gardens and pots, at no additional cost and without changing the routine.
-
The sea water temperature rose from 28 to 34 degrees in Santa Catarina and killed up to 90% of the oysters: producers who planted over 1 million seeds lost practically everything and say that if it happens again, production is doomed to end.

An Indian tree that grows in the Brazilian Northeast produces an oil capable of acting against more than 200 species of pests and interrupting the insect cycle, gaining ground as a natural alternative in soybean, cotton, and vegetable crops.
-
The rise in oil prices in the Middle East is already affecting Brazilian sugar: mills in the Central-South are seeing their margins shrink just as ethanol gains strength.
This opening is part of the strategy to diversify commercial partnerships.
In 2024, Brazil has already exported over US$ 288 million in agricultural products to countries in the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), a group of which Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is a member.
Advancement of Agribusiness
With this announcement, Brazilian agribusiness reaches 403 market openings since the beginning of 2023.
The government also highlights that there are three new destinations following the withdrawal of the United States due to Trump’s tariff policy.
In addition to the Caribbean country, Brazil will send bone-in beef and offals to the Philippines.
It has also gained a foothold in Indonesia, the fourth most populous country in the world, which will start importing bone-in beef, meat products, and prepared meat from Brazil.
Situation in the United States
Meanwhile, the United States is facing a surge in beef prices. According to the Department of Labor Statistics, the average price reached US$ 11.875 per pound, which represents almost R$ 150 per kilogram.
This is the highest price ever recorded in the country.
Residents, including Brazilians living there, have spotted trays costing up to US$ 69.
The increase is mainly due to three factors: climate changes, restrictions imposed on Mexico, and the tariff against Brazilian beef, which has stopped supplying the North American market.
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is a small country located in the Caribbean, formed by the main island, Saint Vincent, and a group of small islands known as the Grenadines.
With a total area of about 389 km², the territory features tropical landscapes marked by white sand beaches, volcanic mountains, and biodiversity typical of the Lesser Antilles.
The capital is Kingstown, located in Saint Vincent, the political and economic center of the nation.
The population is approximately 110,000 inhabitants.
The official language is English, but many residents also use a creole based on this language in their daily lives.
The predominant religion is Christianity, with the presence of Anglicans, Methodists, Catholics, and Pentecostal churches.
Cultural diversity is evident in traditions, music, and popular festivals, with a highlight for the Vincy Mas Carnival, which features parades, dances, and rhythms such as calypso, reggae, and soca.
Top 3 Agriculture Markets
The agribusiness sector in Brazil is undergoing a phase of accelerated growth and is already showing significant advances in new external destinations.
Among these markets, three countries stand out for their strategic weight and great expansion prospects in exports.
Mexico, Vietnam, and China are emerging as central pieces in this movement, consolidating Brazil’s position as one of the world’s leading food suppliers.
Each of them represents recent achievements that transform the agenda of exports and indicate even greater opportunities in the coming years.
Strategic and Emerging Markets
Other agreements reached are also noteworthy for their scope. The exports of sorghum and sesame to China stand out, estimated at US$ 35.65 million and US$ 142.63 million, respectively.
In the Asian market, Brazil also strengthened its presence with the sale of poultry meal to Indonesia, which accounted for US$ 17 million in 2024.
Beef has already gained ground in Vietnam, with a potential of US$ 183 million, and in Mexico, which imported US$ 214.32 million last year.
