The price of R$ 419,000 makes the choice difficult for those who are already considering other options such as the Volvo C40, which offers more power at a lower cost.
“For this value, the new Chevrolet Equinox EV is in a complicated position“, said Del Arco, highlighting that, despite its qualities, it is difficult to recommend the car to anyone looking for the best cost-benefit.
Performance Of The New Chevrolet Equinox EV: Is It Fast, But What About Comfort?
The new Chevrolet Equinox EV does not disappoint in performance. With 292 horsepower and 46 kgfm of torque, it goes from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds. The SUV is equipped with Chevrolet motors on both axles, offering all-wheel drive and a smooth ride even in more adverse conditions. Del Arco highlighted that the model, although robust, has a suspension that surprises with its softness, providing above-average comfort.

What caught attention was the comparison with the Blazer EV, also from Chevrolet. According to Del Arco, the new Chevrolet Equinox EV handles more gently and is more enjoyable to drive, even being a more compact car than the Blazer.
Range And Recharge: Reasonable Time, But Not The Best In The Category
With an 85 kWh battery, the new Chevrolet Equinox EV promises a range of up to 443 km on a single charge, which is a positive point. However, the charging time can be a limiting factor. At fast chargers, the 0 to 80% recharge takes about 43 minutes, which is within expectations for the category but does not stand out against direct competitors.
Equipment And Technology: Lacks A Touch Of Sophistication
The interior of the new Chevrolet Equinox EV has some points that disappoint, considering the price. Despite featuring a 17-inch multimedia center and an 11-inch display, items like the lack of lighting in the glove compartment and the simplistic finish in some areas do not match the requested value. The sound system is not branded, which could be expected in a car that competes directly with models from Volvo and BMW.
On the other hand, the model brings technological innovations such as Native Google, Wi-Fi router with up to 4 years free, and over-the-air software updates. These are interesting features, but they do not fully justify the price.
Is It Worth It?
The big question remains: is the new Chevrolet Equinox EV worth the investment of R$ 419,000? Despite being an electric SUV with solid performance and cutting-edge technology, it ends up losing out on price. For those willing to invest that amount, models like the Volvo C40 or even the BMW iX3 may be more attractive options, offering more for less.
