A New Public Competition Anvisa Is About to Be Announced With 50 Vacancies for High School and Higher Education Candidates.
The new competition for the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) has already been authorized and will offer 50 vacancies. The public competition was announced this Tuesday (July 18), by Esther Dweck, Minister of Management and Innovation of Public Services, as part of a package of 2,480 vacancies across various federal government agencies.

The positions to be offered by Anvisa have not yet been disclosed, which should happen at any moment, with the publication authorized in the official gazette. Through the release of the document, the agency will have a period of six months to publish the notice, that is, by mid-January. The agency had already submitted, in May, a request for approval for a larger allocation, with 129 vacancies.
Of the total of vacancies for the public competition, 57 were for positions requiring high school education and 72 for higher education. In the case of the high school positions, the opportunities were distributed as 50 for administrative technician and 7 for technician in regulation and health surveillance. For higher education, there were 53 for specialist in regulation and health surveillance and 17 for administrative analyst.

The Administrative Technician is responsible for performing administrative and logistical activities related to the exercise of the constitutional and legal competencies of Anvisa, implementing and executing programs and projects related to regulatory activities.
The Technician in Regulation and Health Surveillance regulates, controls, inspects, and oversees establishments that sell food, medications, and sanitary inputs. Finally, the Analyst analyzes controls and methods, develops monitoring reports for the administrative area, participates in planning, among other duties.

The last public competition of the agency was held in 2016, when 78 vacancies were opened, and a reserve list was created only for the position of administrative technician.
The organizing institute was Cebraspe, and the selection process included an objective test with 120 questions, comprising 50 basic knowledge questions and 70 specific knowledge questions, in addition to a written test. The basic knowledge test of the Anvisa competition covered topics on:
- Ethics in Public Service;
- Information Technology Basics;
- Logical Reasoning;
- Portuguese Language; and
- Current Events, only for the written test.
For the other positions, the last public competition took place in 2013, organized by Cetro, when 314 vacancies were opened across various positions.
Out of the total opportunities, 128 were opened for positions requiring high school education, with 100 for technician in regulation and health surveillance and 28 for the administrative technician role. The remaining 186 opportunities, requiring higher education, were for the roles of specialist in regulation and health surveillance (157) and administrative analyst (29).
Tests of the Anvisa 2013 Competition
For the technician in regulation position, there were 80 questions on the following topics:
- Health Surveillance and Public Health – 10 questions;
- Constitutional and Administrative Law and Ethics – 10 questions;
- Specific Knowledge – 40 questions;
- Logical and Quantitative Reasoning – 5 questions;
- Regulation and Public Administration – 5 questions;
- Portuguese Language – 10 questions.
A written test was also conducted on public administration, health surveillance, regulation, and public health. For the positions of administrative analyst and specialist in regulation, there were 120 questions on:
- Portuguese Language – 10 questions;
- Regulation – 10 questions;
- Specific Knowledge – 60 questions;
- Health Surveillance – 10 questions;
- Foreign Language – English – 10 questions;
- Constitutional and Administrative Law – 10 questions;
- Public Policy and Public Management – 10 questions.
