Associations Send Joint Letter to the Ministry of Transportation Requesting Support for Increase in Positions for ANTT’s Exam. Learn More Details About This Demand!
The ANTT (National Land Transportation Agency) faces a significant personnel deficit, which led associations to send a joint letter to the Minister of Transportation, Renan Filho, seeking support for an increase in positions for the agency’s upcoming exam.
Although the government has authorized a new ANTT exam, the number of approved positions, currently at 50 positions for regulation specialists, is not sufficient to meet the agency’s needs. ANTT had requested 372 opportunities, including 124 positions for regulation specialists, 48 for administrative analysts, and 200 for administrative technicians.
With a workforce of over 780 vacant positions, hiring only 50 employees would not solve the personnel shortage issue at the agency. It is worth noting that the exam also plans to create a reserve list for future convocations.

Reserve List and New Convocations
To optimize the use of the reserve list, ANTT would need additional authorization from the Ministry of Management and Innovation (MGI) to allow the calling of up to 25% beyond the initial number of positions. Any number exceeding this percentage would require a presidential decree.
So far, ANTT has received interest from six organizing bodies, including Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), Cebraspe, Fundação Carlos Chagas (FCC), Instituto de Desenvolvimento Educacional (Idecan), Instituto Avalia, and Instituto Nosso Rumo.
Competitive Salaries and Exam Deadlines
The positions in the exam are for the regulation specialist career, which requires a higher education degree and offers an initial salary of R$17,071.35. This amount includes the base salary and the food allowance, which was adjusted by the Federal Government at the beginning of the year.
ANTT aims to publish the exam notice by January 2024, following the deadline set in the authorization ordinance. The exams are expected to take place by March of the same year, with appointments planned for 2024.
The Last ANTT Exam
The last ANTT exam took place ten years ago, in 2013, which emphasizes the urgency of this new selection process to address the personnel shortage at the agency. At the time, the exam offered 135 positions in middle and higher education levels, with objective tests, essay writing, title evaluation, and training courses for some categories.
The realization of a new exam is essential to strengthen ANTT’s workforce and improve the delivery of essential services for the transportation sector in Brazil. The expectation is that the authorizations will be met, and the exam will proceed as planned. To stay updated on public exams, continue following our channel on Telegram.
