School Offers Opportunity for Integrated and Subsequent High School Courses with Quotas for Residents in Rural Areas
The Cajueiro Agricultural School (EAC), affiliated with the State University of Paraíba (UEPB), opened registration for the technical courses in Agriculture for 2025. Located at UEPB’s Campus IV in Catolé do Rocha, EAC offers 160 spots. Of these, 50% are reserved for residents of rural areas. This measure reinforces the school’s commitment to inclusion and training of youth from the countryside, according to the UEPB website.
Modalities and Available Spots in the School’s Courses
The technical courses in Agriculture at EAC are offered in two modalities, each with 80 spots. The Integrated High School course combines technical training with regular high school education. Thus, students complete this school phase with a technical qualification. On the other hand, the Subsequent course is for those who have already finished high school and are seeking professional qualification. Therefore, these courses prepare students for a job market that is growing in Brazil.
Moreover, the reservation of 50% of spots for residents of rural areas demonstrates EAC’s commitment to local development. This way, the school provides accessible and qualified training for youth from these communities. This inclusive policy strengthens the agricultural sector and opens up new opportunities for young people from rural areas.

Registration for the Selection Process of the Courses
Registrations are open until November 29. Candidates can register in person at EAC or online, on the institution’s website. These options increase access and facilitate participation from candidates in various regions. Since October 21, everyone has had the opportunity to register.
In the selection process, EAC will evaluate school performance in Portuguese Language and Mathematics. For the Integrated modality, we consider the grades from the 8th grade of Elementary School II. For the Subsequent modality, we analyze the grades from the 3rd year of High School. This criterion ensures a fair selection, highlighting the best-prepared candidates.
Benefits and Opportunities in the Agricultural Sector
The technical training in Agriculture at EAC offers an excellent opportunity for those who wish to pursue a promising career. The course prepares professionals to work in various areas, such as soil management, pest control, and production of inputs. Additionally, the training enables students to contribute to the sustainable development of the Brazilian agribusiness.
The demand for qualified professionals in the agricultural sector is continuously growing, especially in a country where agriculture is essential to the economy. Therefore, for young people from rural areas, this training represents a chance to improve knowledge and apply skills directly in their communities. In this way, they strengthen the local sector and contribute to a more sustainable future.
