The Arrizo 6, sold in Brazil by Caoa Chery, has just gained a powerful sibling in the Asian market. This is the new Chery Arrizo 8 sedan, which was introduced by Chery as a new luxury plug-in hybrid (PHEV) sedan. Due to the presence of various brands in China, the model was presented as Fengyun A8.
Chery Plug-In Hybrid Sedan Achieves 23.8 km/L
The new Chery Arrizo 8 boasts an impressive range of 1,400 km by combining the engines of the plug-in hybrid system (gasoline and battery). According to the brand, the Chery plug-in hybrid sedan achieves 23.8 km/L in hybrid mode.
The consumption is quite low, at only 4.2 liters every 100 km. The model delivers a top speed of 185 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds. The new model from the Chinese manufacturer measures 4.780 m in length, 1.843 m in width, 1.469 m in height, and 2.790 m in wheelbase.

Will the New Plug-In Hybrid Sedan from Chery Arrive in Brazil?
For now, Caoa Chery has not expressed interest in importing the Chery Arrizo 8 PHEV to Brazil. However, as the hybrid and electric market in the country is growing, there is a possibility. It didn’t take long for the brand to formalize another line, which could become a brand in the future.
After separating, Omoda as an independent manufacturer and creating Jaecoo, Chery now has a line called Fengyun, comprising the unprecedented plug-in hybrid sedan Arrizo 8.
Like the Audi A8, from which it “stole” the name, the Chery Arrizo 8 is the most sophisticated and expensive model of the brand, as mentioned earlier. In comparison to the Arrizo 8, the Fengyun A8 only differs in the design of the front grille and the Chery logo with a white background. As mentioned earlier, what really changes in the model is what is underneath the hood.
