Power Boost of the New Chevrolet Equinox
For the 2025 model year, the Equinox EV SUV will receive a slight power increase. FWD models will now feature 220 horsepower, compared to 213 hp in previous models. The trims for the 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV will also be simplified and adjusted to better meet consumer needs. The 2LT trim will be renamed to LT, with some standard features becoming optional. The new LT will include fabric seats, urethane steering wheel, and standard six-way adjustable driver’s seat. The RS model, in turn, will continue to offer the Convenience Package features as standard, along with black roof rails.
The New Chevrolet Equinox will offer the entry-level LT trim in different packages, including Comfort, Active Safety 2, and Convenience. The higher-level LT and RS models will be equipped with the Active Safety Package 3 and Convenience Package 2. The Convenience Package will include extras found in the 2024 Equinox 2LT model, while the Convenience Package 2 will integrate many features from the 3LT trim.
Tax Benefits and Financing Options
The Chevrolet Equinox EV also qualifies for a US$ 7,500 tax credit for electric vehicles, which can significantly reduce the final cost for consumers. With the credit included, the price of the 2LT model can drop to US$ 35,795, while the basic 1LT can be purchased for under US$ 27,500.
