Hyundai Tucson 2024 Surprises The Brazilian Market With A Drastic Price Reduction, Now Ranging Between R$ 179,990 And R$ 194,990. This Strategic Repositioning Aims To Increase Competitiveness In The SUV Segment.

Hyundai has announced impactful news for car enthusiasts in Brazil: the new Tucson 2024 received a significant price cut, with a reduction of up to R$ 50,000. Produced in Anápolis, Goiás, the model underwent a market repositioning, resulting in more accessible prices, which now range from R$ 179,990 to R$ 194,990 for its versions.

The aggressive pricing strategy places the Tucson in a more competitive position against rivals like the Jeep Compass, the best-selling mid-size SUV in the country. With the reduction, the entry-level GLS version of the Tucson, previously priced at R$ 229,990, is now sold for R$ 179,990, just slightly above the price of the Compass.

The Tucson is equipped with a 1.6 GDI turbo four-cylinder engine, exclusively gasoline, capable of delivering 177 horsepower and 27 kgfm of torque, combined with a seven-speed automated dual-clutch transmission. These mechanical features strengthen its value proposition in the competitive SUV market.

In addition to the price change, the Tucson features a robust list of equipment. From rear parking sensors and cruise control to full LED headlights and wireless charging for smartphones in the higher versions, the Tucson is well-equipped to face the competition.

Price Adjustment In Brazil

Although the Tucson has seen modest sales, with only 119 units registered from January to August 2023, Hyundai believes that the new pricing strategy will revitalize its market performance. This price adjustment is an attempt to reverse the perception of the model being outdated, especially since the third generation still dominates the Brazilian market, while the fourth generation is only expected in 2025.

The price repositioning of the Hyundai Tucson in Brazil marks a bold move by the brand to capture a larger share of the SUV market, balancing cost-effectiveness with an attractive equipment package and competent mechanical performance.

The new Tucson, already acclaimed in global markets such as Europe and North America, represents the vanguard of innovation and automotive design from Hyundai.

This generation, unveiled in 2020, stands out not only for its revolutionary design but also for its advanced modular platform. What Is The Engine Of The Fourth Generation Of The Hyundai Tucson?

Under the hood, the Tucson for the international market includes a 2.5 naturally aspirated engine, but the big news for Brazil will be the hybrid version. With a 1.6 turbo engine and electric assistance, the hybrid SUV promises a combined 230 horsepower and impressive energy efficiency, including an electric range of up to 50 km.

Visually, the fourth generation Tucson challenges conventions with a distinctive front grille and hidden LED lighting, reflecting the boldness of its design. Features such as a sporty bumper, wheels of up to 19 inches, and gray details complement its bold and modern aesthetic.

Model Is Expected To Arrive In Brazil In 2025

Inside, the Tucson raises the bar with refined finishes, generous space for passengers, and an extensive list of features. Highlights include a panoramic sunroof, multifunction front seats, premium sound system, and an advanced multimedia center with a 10-inch screen.
