iQOO Z9 Turbo Impresses With 6,400 mAh Battery, 120W Charging, Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, and 144 Hz AMOLED Display. Meet the Phone That Looks Like a Portable Gaming Console.

Imagine a phone with a futuristic design, a giant battery that lasts two days, and plenty of power to run any game from the Play Store without hiccups. This is the iQOO Z9 Turbo, one of the boldest launches of 2024, arriving with impressive numbers: 6,400 mAh of battery using silicon-carbon technology, ultrafast 120W charging, a 144 Hz AMOLED display, and the brand-new Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor.

It’s not just a beefy smartphone. The Z9 Turbo is practically a portable console camouflaged as a phone, designed for those who demand raw performance but also want real autonomy — without having to carry a charger in their pocket.

Energy to Spare With Next-Generation Battery

The main star here is the battery. While most smartphones still hover around 5,000 mAh, the iQOO Z9 Turbo goes further: it boasts 6,400 mAh, made with silicon-carbon technology, which stores more energy in less space and weighs less. This means a thinner, lighter phone — and enough energy for two days of intense usage.

But it doesn’t stop there: it also features 120W charging, which takes the battery from 0 to 50% in just 11 minutes. In other words, even if you forget to charge the device at night, you can still ensure a decent charge in less time than it takes to brew a coffee.

This combination of capacity and speed makes the Z9 Turbo one of the phones with the longest autonomy and quickest recharge on the market — a feature increasingly valued in a world where we are always connected.

Display That Delivers Everything: 144 Hz AMOLED

The display of the iQOO Z9 Turbo is a spectacle in itself. We’re talking about a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel, with Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 144 Hz, ideal for those who game, watch lots of videos, or simply enjoy smoothness in everything.

With a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits, the device remains visible even under bright sunlight, which is rare even among premium flagships. The touch sampling rate is 300 Hz, ensuring immediate response in games — a feature worthy of the best gaming phones on the market.

The visual experience is smooth, vibrant, and immersive. The design with minimal borders and a discreet notch provides even more space for content. In horizontal use, the Z9 Turbo really resembles a next-gen portable console.

Snapdragon 8s Gen 3: Power Without Excess

Running all of this is the new Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, a chip that sits between the top-of-the-line models (like the 8 Gen 2 and traditional 8 Gen 3), but with more balanced energy consumption.

Combined with 12 GB or even 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, the performance is more than enough for heavy gaming, demanding multitasking, 4K recording, and intense daily use. In practice, it delivers flagship performance with better thermal management, meaning less heating and more stability — ideal for those who spend long periods on their phone.

Moreover, the Z9 Turbo offers UFS 4.0 storage of up to 512 GB, ensuring instant app launches, fast transfers, and plenty of room for videos, games, and heavy files.

Aggressive Design and Premium Build

With an appearance reminiscent of gaming devices, the Z9 Turbo features an elegant finish but with personality. The lines are well-defined, the camera module is centralized, and the back has a slightly matte texture that prevents fingerprint marks.

Despite the large battery, the phone is not heavy: it weighs around 194g and is only 7.98 mm thick — thanks to the new energy cell composition.

Available in black, blue, and silver, the device gives off a premium product feel but with a bold touch aimed at a younger, more connected audience.

Good Cameras, But Not the Focus

The camera system of the iQOO Z9 Turbo is competent, although it is not the main highlight. It features two rear cameras, with the main being 50 MP with optical stabilization and a secondary 2 MP for depth.

At the front, a 16 MP camera does the job with good selfies and adequate quality for video calls.

The focus here is to provide good photos in everyday situations, but without competing directly with phones aimed at photography. The proposal is clear: performance, autonomy, and display — with cameras sufficient for the basics.

Smart System and Gaming Optimizations

The device runs OriginOS 4 based on Android 14, with specific tweaks to reduce battery consumption and improve gaming performance. There is a turbo mode that frees up more resources for heavy games and disables notifications to avoid interruptions.

The system also includes AI-based optimizations to prioritize the most used apps and manage energy consumption intelligently, further prolonging autonomy.

Who Is the iQOO Z9 Turbo For?

If you are tired of your phone freezing, heating up, constantly needing recharging, or having a display that doesn’t impress, the iQOO Z9 Turbo might be the answer.

It is ideal for:

  • Casual and Enthusiast Gamers
  • Users who spend many hours away from the outlet
  • Those who want flagship power without the flagship price
  • Anyone who values display smoothness and balanced thermal performance

Even though it is not officially sold in Brazil, the device can already be found on import sites and marketplaces with prices ranging from R$ 1,800 to R$ 2,400 — placing it as a strong contender among the best cost-benefit options of the year.

Eu vendo o vídeo e descobrindo que a Samsung copiou quase todo o design no meu s25 plus. Exceto a câmera.
