The Chevrolet Equinox 2.0 Turbo Launched in 2017 Combines Gasoline Engine Similar to That Used in Camaro Versions with a Price of Around R$ 113 Thousand on the Fipe Table. In Used, Delivers 468 Liters of Trunk Space, Wheelbase of 2.72 m, Six Airbags and Advanced Safety Assistances

In 2017, Chevrolet Launched the Chevrolet Equinox 2.0 Turbo with a Clear Proposal: Above-Average Performance in the Segment, Using a Gasoline Engine Similar to That Applied in Versions of the Camaro and a Set of Equipment That, at the Time, Aimed at a Higher Level of Technology and Safety.

On December 31, 2025, With High Demand for Used Cars and Direct Comparison with New Models, the Equinox Reemerged in the Debate as a Purchase Alternative in the Range of About R$ 113 Thousand on the Fipe Table, Combining Size, 468 Liters of Trunk Space and Driver Assistance Features That Don’t Always Appear at the Same Price.

Why the 2017 Equinox Reemerged as an Option in 2025

Chevrolet Equinox 2.0 turbo appears as used with Fipe Table close to R$ 113 thousand, 468 liters of trunk space, six airbags, and a 2.0 turbo engine similar to that of the Camaro, according to the database.

The Database Describes a Scenario of Growing Interest in Used Vehicles, and It Is in This Context That the Equinox Reappears as a “Cost-Effective Option.”

The Logic Is Simple: When the Market Pressures Prices of New Models, a Well-Equipped Used Mid-Sized SUV Begins to Compete with New Compact SUVs, Especially for Those Who Prioritize Built-In Features.

In This Repositioning, the Chevrolet Equinox 2.0 Turbo Gains Strength by Combining the 2.0 Turbo Gasoline Engine with a List of Safety and Comfort Features That Support the Proposal for Family Use Without Sacrificing Performance.

2.0 Turbo Engine Similar to That of the Camaro and What It Means in Practice

The Most Cited Point Is the Engine: The Database States That the Equinox Arrived Equipped with the Powerful 2.0 Turbo Gasoline Engine, Similar to That Used in Versions of the Camaro.

This Does Not Mean That They Are Identical Cars in Calibration or Purpose, but It Indicates the Intent to Deliver an SUV with a Stronger Response Than the Segment Average.

For Those Buying Used, This Information Matters Because Engine and Mechanical Set Tend to Define the Driving Feel and the Car’s Capability on Road, Hills, and Acceleration.

The Described Proposal Is for Performance with a “Sporty Feel,” Without Losing Focus on Comfort and Space.

Price of Around R$ 113 Thousand on the Fipe Table and Cost-Benefit Reading

The Value Indicated in the Database Is “Around R$ 113 Thousand” on the Fipe Table, Which Positions the Equinox in a Range Where Many Consumers Directly Compare It with New Compact SUVs.

The Thesis of the Text Is That the Equinox Can Represent Significant Savings Compared to a Brand New Car, Without Sacrificing Power and Amenities.

This Type of Decision, Based on What the Database Allows, Is Less About the Status of a New Car and More About Content: Trunk Space, Interior Room, Equipment, and Driver Assistance Package.

Trunk Space of 468 Liters and Wheelbase of 2.72 m: Focus on Space

From the Perspective of Daily Use, Two Numbers Organize the Vehicle’s Argument for Families: 468 Liters of Trunk Space and Wheelbase of 2.72 Meters.

The Combination Suggests an SUV with a More Generous Cabin and Adequate Load Capacity for Trips, Large Purchases, and Daily Routine with Kids.

In a Market That Often Focuses Offers on Compact SUVs, These Data Help Explain Why the Equinox Returns to the Shopping List When the Goal Is Internal Comfort.

In Practice, Space Is Not an “Extra,” It Is a Criterion That Changes the Use Experience, Especially on Long Trips.

Six Airbags and Safety Assistances Cited in the Database

The Database Highlights the Equinox as a Well-Equipped SUV in Terms of Safety, with Six Airbags and Assistance Features Such as Blind Spot Alert and Automatic Emergency Braking.

These Items Are Treated as Differentials Because They Raise the Level of Protection and Reduce Risk in Common Traffic Situations.

In the Informal Comparison of the Used Car Market, These Features Often Separate “Just Comfortable Car” from “Comfortable Car with Assistances,” and This Helps Support the Idea That the Chevrolet Equinox 2.0 Turbo Delivers a Robust Package Within the Reported Price.

Technology and Comfort in the Premier Version: What Appears on the List

The Database States That the Premier Version Adds Technological and Comfort Amenities, Including Advanced Multimedia System, Induction Charger, and Panoramic Sunroof.

The Set Reinforces the Proposal for a Driving Experience Closer to What Many Consumers Call “Premium” Within the Used Car Universe.

Also Included Are Items Focused on Daily Practicality, Such as Electronic Parking Brake and Rain and Dusk Sensors, Which Automate Functions and Reduce the Driver’s Workload.

Here, the Gain Is Not Just Comfort, but Consistency of Use in Different Climate and Lighting Conditions.

Comparison with More Compact New SUVs and the Buyer’s Dilemma

The Database Mentions the Tracker Turbo AT as an Example of a New Compact SUV and Positions the Equinox as an Attractive Alternative for Delivering Power, Space, and Equipment at a Level That May Not Appear at the Same Price in Brand New Cars.

The Dilemma, Therefore, Is Clearly Defined: To Choose a New Compact SUV, with the Smell of a New Car and Initial Warranty, or to Choose a Larger Used SUV, with 2.0 Turbo Engine, 468 Liters of Trunk Space, and a More Complete Set of Safety and Technology.

The Database Does Not Address Maintenance Costs, Consumption, or Year Versions, So the Point Here Is Strictly What Was Presented: Content, Size, and Price on the Fipe Table.

The Chevrolet Equinox 2.0 Turbo Launched in 2017 Again Draws Attention at the End of 2025 for an Objective Equation: Gasoline Engine Similar to That Applied in Versions of the Camaro, Price of Around R$ 113 Thousand on the Fipe Table, 468 Liters of Trunk Space, Wheelbase of 2.72 M, Six Airbags, and Features Like Blind Spot Alert and Automatic Emergency Braking, in Addition to Technology in the Premier Version.

If You Are Evaluating a Used SUV in This Range, the Most Realistic Path Is to Compare What You Get for the Same Budget in a New Compact Car and Check, Calmly, Which Items from the Mentioned Package Are Present in the Example You Are Negotiating.

Would You Choose the Used Chevrolet Equinox 2.0 Turbo for Its Package and Space, or Do You Prefer a Brand New Compact SUV Simply Because It Is New?
