Impressive Structure And Capacity

With a total area of 1,334 hectares, the new airport will have four terminals and six runways. Once fully completed, it will have the capacity to accommodate 70 million passengers per year, surpassing renowned airports such as Frankfurt in Germany.

Progress Of Works And Opening Forecast
The construction of the new airport is being overseen by NIAL, which has provided a recent update on the progress of the work. According to Shailendra Bhatia, major infrastructures such as potable water lines, sewage treatment plants (STPs), and water treatment plants (WTPs) are nearing completion.
On the land side, which includes terminals, access roads, parking lots, and transport connections, 79% of the construction has been completed. On the air side, which includes runways, taxiways, and aircraft parking areas, 89% of the work has been completed. With this accelerated pace, the inauguration next year seems guaranteed.
