With Technology Unprecedented in Latin America to “tame” the Wind and the Goal of Obtaining the World’s Most Sustainable Building Certification, Senna Tower Redefines Engineering Limits in Brazil, Besides Being the New Tallest Building in Balneário Camboriú.
In the new tallest building in Balneário Camboriú, the city of skyscrapers, a new project promises to take Brazil to another level. Senna Tower, at over 550 meters tall, will not only be the tallest residential building in the world but a landmark of engineering and sustainability.
The innovation of the new tallest building in Balneário Camboriú lies not in myths, but in two cutting-edge technologies. The first is an unprecedented engineering solution to ensure the tower’s stability against winds. The second is an ambitious sustainability plan to obtain the planet’s most important green building certification.
What Is Senna Tower? The R$ 3 Billion Project That Will Change the Skyline
Senna Tower is the most audacious project by the construction company FG Empreendimentos, led by Jean Graciola, in partnership with Senna Brands, from the family of driver Ayrton Senna, and entrepreneur Luciano Hang, founder of Havan and landowner. The project was officially launched at a major event on May 10, 2025.

Abandoned house for 15 years disappears in the woods, shocks owner with unrecognizable scenery and is reborn in an intense transformation after almost 90 hours of work in just 10 days.
-
In just three hours, a natural stone floor transforms the entrance of the house with an organic effect, immediate drainage, and a sophisticated non-slip finish that doesn’t puddle water, dries quickly, and impresses with the final result.
-
‘Interlocking brick’ made of earth arrives in the construction industry with cost reductions of up to 40% on the project.

Espírito Santo will receive the largest engineering project in its history with the duplication of BR 262, which will have 50 viaducts, 28 bridges, and 2-kilometer tunnels cutting through the most challenging mountainous region of the entire state.
With an investment of R$ 3 billion, the tower will have over 150 floors and a height of 550 meters. Construction is expected to begin by the end of 2025, with completion between 2033 and 2035.
The Real Innovation Against the Wind in the New Tallest Building in Balneário Camboriú

The biggest challenge for such a tall building in an area with strong winds is oscillation. To address this, Senna Tower will use cutting-edge technology: a Tuned Mass Damper (TMD).
This is a giant pendulum weighing hundreds of tons, installed at the top of the new tallest building in Balneário Camboriú. When the wind pushes the tower, the pendulum moves in the opposite direction by inertia, neutralizing the sway and ensuring comfort and safety for the residents. Senna Tower will be the first building in Latin America to use this technology.
To execute this and other engineering feats, FG Empreendimentos assembled an international team with names such as Fatih Yalniz (from WSP, New York) and John Kilpatrick (from RWDI, Canada), engineers who have worked on icons like the Burj Khalifa.
True Sustainability: The Search for LEED Platinum Certification
The sustainable ambition of the new tallest building in Balneário Camboriú is to achieve LEED Platinum certification, the highest global recognition for green buildings.
To achieve this, the project integrates various technologies, such as:
- Photovoltaic solar panels to generate part of the energy.
- A complete rainwater reuse system.
- The use of low environmental impact materials with certification.
- A design that prioritizes natural lighting and ventilation, reducing energy consumption and ensuring a better quality of life for residents.
A Tribute in the Form of a Skyscraper: The Concept of Lalalli Senna
The architectural concept of Senna Tower was created by Lalalli Senna, niece of Ayrton Senna and visual artist. The design, with its ascending curves, is inspired by the “Hero’s Journey”, a metaphor for the driver’s path of overcoming.
The new tallest building in Balneário Camboriú will not only be a residential tower. It will feature a public space with an immersive museum dedicated to the life and career of Ayrton Senna, featuring items such as the racing car Lotus 99T, becoming a new cultural and tourist attraction for the city.
