CLIMA Is Preparing the Ground for Implementing Thermoelectric Plants in Macaé That Will Be Managed by the Joint Venture Including Shell and Other Service Providers
The Logistical and Industrial Complex of Macaé (CLIMA) has kicked off, and the machines are already on site executing the work to prepare the location and the construction site. This venture involves the implementation of the Marlim Azul Thermoelectric Plant, which was estimated at 2 billion reais by the joint venture formed between the companies Mitsubishi, Pátria Investimentos, and Shell, as we published on February 12 here.

After the ground preparation, effectively in March, the structural works of the thermoelectric plant in Macaé will begin, with an expected completion by December 31, 2021.
The gas produced by Shell will come from its assets in the Campos Basin. The company states in a note that the capacity for power generation could comfortably supply 12 million people.
