With the Intention of Consolidating the New Brand and Resuming Suspended Business, Ocyan Holds Event for Donation of Machinery for Training Projects
A Ocyan wishes that its new phase with the change of its brand reflects in good fruits, a result initially with the re-partnership in the city of Macaé and the best way to start is through partnership programs and student projects. This week, the company held a donation event of a 3D printer and a laser cutter to the Innovation and Learning Management and Research Center, this act also allowed the UFRJ Medicine course in Macaé to also be benefited by this partnership.
The mission of Innovation and Learning is to provide elementary school students in the city with extracurricular activities in robotics, which currently occupy about 10 spaces in the city. To date, since the initiative was created in 2014, more than 2,390 public network students aged between 8 and 16 have been benefited by the project. In raw numbers, the total number of people reached sums over 12,000.
Marco Túlio Barbosa, responsible for sustainability at Ocyan’s drilling unit, said that “It is another step within the project, where we have advanced considerably. Seeing the progress of students in a field like robotics is fascinating.” “Regardless of what this Odebrecht group is going through, the need to acknowledge its importance in the national and international oil and gas scenario, the expectations are great.”
