SBM Offshore is looking to fill a number of other positions for its activities in Guyana, where it operates the FPSO (Floating Storage and Offloading Unit) oil production complex on the Stabroek Block. The focus is on job openings for technicians and engineers who will provide services to the operator ExxonMobil.

The company said in a new announcement posted on its page on Facebook last week it intends to fill a number of vacancies for both offshore and onshore operations. This includes the Occupational Safety Technician, Electrical Technician, Instrumentation Technician, Mechanical Technician, Production Technician and Quality / Regulatory Compliance Engineer.

Currently, around 50% of SBM Offshore's workforce in country offices are Guyanese. The company has been operating in the country for over two years and expects this percentage to continue to grow.

“We share values of care and integrity and seek to employ like-minded people with the experience, knowledge and skills to perform effectively and efficiently at their capacity,” the company said in its announcement.

In addition to the Liza Destiny FPSO, SBM Offshore has also been contracted by ExxonMobil to build and operate the Liza Unity FPSO for the already approved Liza Phase 2 Project. Following government approvals for the third development in Guyana at Payara, SBM Offshore will proceed from the FEED stage to build the Prosperity FPSO, Guyana's third oil production vessel.

The company also signed a long-term contract with ExxonMobil, covering potential future FPSO orders for Guyana.

To apply for these jobs in Guyana, go to the site https://www.eldoradooffshore.com/pt/ and scroll down the page a little, there is a small form in English where you can attach your CV in DOC or PDF format. No geographic delimitation was mentioned and as it is a neighboring country to ours, there may be real chances for Brazilians, in addition to those who already work in the region.
