Launched in May 2025, ONLYOFFICE Docs 9.0 stands out as a free productivity suite developed in HTML5. According to Ascensio System SIA, the developer, the goal is to provide comprehensive features for users seeking an efficient, intuitive, and collaborative alternative.
This version combines document editors, spreadsheets, presentations, and PDFs in a redesigned environment. Thus, it facilitates work in different formats.

Clear Interface and Practical Features for Workflow

With the update, the interface received enhancements focused on user experience. According to the official statement from Ascensio System SIA, the editors have a clean design, prioritizing clarity and speed.
Editing texts, creating spreadsheets, and assembling presentations has become more intuitive. Moreover, the team incorporated the Diagram Viewer for web, desktop, and mobile devices.
This allows users to open diagram files, such as Visio (.vsdx), without resorting to third-party software. This optimizes daily processes.

Extended Support for Popular Formats and Binary Files

Another strong point of version 9.0 is compatibility with multiple formats. Since May 2025, users of ONLYOFFICE Docs have support for Markdown files (.md) and OpenDocument Graphics (.odg).
For those working with Excel, there are new features. Binary files (.xlsb) can be edited directly, without the need for prior conversions. These enhancements eliminate barriers when handling different types of files.
