OPPO has just launched one of its most robust entry-level smartphones in Brazil: the OPPO A5 4G, a phone that promises above-average durability, long battery life, and an affordable price. The model arrives with surprising specifications for its category, including MIL-STD-810H military certification, IP65 protection against dust and water splashes, and a 6,000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging.
With a suggested price of R$ 1,499, the OPPO A5 4G in Brazil reinforces the Chinese brand’s strategy of offering devices with excellent cost-effectiveness, even in more basic segments.
Robust Design with Military Protection
The new rugged smartphone OPPO A5 is designed to withstand the most demanding conditions. With MIL-STD-810H certification, it is capable of resisting impacts, vibrations, and extreme temperature variations. Additionally, the IP65 protection ensures greater durability in dusty or humid environments.

Although OPPO has not confirmed the exact memory version for Brazil, the global model offers options with 4 GB, 6 GB, or 8 GB of RAM, in addition to 128 GB or 256 GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage.
The standout feature, however, is the 6,000 mAh battery, one of the largest in its category, capable of providing up to two days of moderate usage on a single charge. And for quick recharges, the phone features 45W SUPERVOOC technology, allowing recovery of a significant portion of the charge in under an hour.
Android 15 with AI Features
The operating system is Android 15, with the customized ColorOS 15.0 interface, which brings modern features based on artificial intelligence. Among them are:
- AI Eraser 2.0: removes objects and people from photos with a tap;
- AI Smart Image Matting 2.0: provides more precise cuts for collages and creative edits.
The fluidity of the interface is enhanced by the 90 Hz refresh rate and software optimization, promising consistent performance even during extended use.
Simple but Functional Cameras
The photography setup of the OPPO A5 4G consists of a main 50 MP camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2 MP monochrome secondary lens for depth effects. On the front, the 5 MP sensor handles video calls and selfies with basic quality.
Although the camera is not the main focus of the device, the main camera performs well in daytime photos, and OPPO’s AI helps enhance contrast and skin tones.
Powerful Sound and Boost for Noisy Environments
The model also includes a feature called Ultra Volume Mode, which amplifies the speaker volume by up to 300%, ideal for situations where ambient sound can compromise the ability to hear notifications, calls, or videos.
This boost is welcome in work environments, factories, or outdoor areas with significant noise.
Price and Availability in Brazil
The price of the OPPO A5 4G in Brazil has been set at R$ 1,499, and the smartphone begins selling this July at major retailers such as Magazine Luiza, Casas Bahia, and Bemol. The expectation is that the model will attract consumers looking for a rugged phone, with long-lasting battery and updated system, without exceeding the R$ 1,500 price range.
OPPO Reinforces Presence in the Brazilian Market
The arrival of the A5 4G marks another step for OPPO in consolidating its operation in Brazil. Since partnering with the Multi Group (formerly Multilaser) in 2024, the Chinese manufacturer has been accelerating local production of smartphones.
Founded in 2004, OPPO is now one of the largest brands in the world for mobile innovation, being a pioneer in technologies such as under-screen camera, 10x hybrid zoom, and ultrafast charging of up to 125 W. The company operates in over 60 countries and employs more than 40,000 employees globally.
According to the brand, Brazil is a strategic market, and the goal is to compete directly with major names like Samsung and Motorola in the mid-range and entry-level segments.
