The Government of Maranhão is accepting registrations for free courses for those interested in qualifying or requalifying in technology areas and looking for opportunities, in line with the shortage in the IT sector. A total of 500 spots are being offered in Information Technology courses through the Trilhas Inova program.
Who Can Participate In The Free Courses For Shortage In The IT Sector?
Executed by the State Secretariat of Science, Technology and Innovation (Secti) in partnership with the Foundation for Research and Scientific and Technological Development of Maranhão (Fapema), the announcement already counts with 3,315 registrants from 181 cities in Maranhão. Registration continues until October 18.
The program, which aims to combat the shortage in the IT sector, is intended for individuals aged 16 and over, who reside in Maranhão and are currently attending or have completed high school in public or private schools (with a full scholarship) and in case they have attended or are attending higher education, it must be in a public or private institution with a full scholarship.

The spots are in free courses for the shortage in the IT sector in the areas of Website Programming/Front-End (125 spots), Game Programming (50 spots), Systems Programming/Back-End (125 spots), User Experience and Design (100 spots), and Data Science (100 spots).
In addition, there will be an extra career track for all participants. In this phase, the government has increased the total number of spots to 1,000, considering the 500 young people already selected earlier this year.
How To Participate In The Information Technology Courses?
The Secti announcement, with information on registration and criteria for the free courses, is available on the Secti website. First, the candidate must access the Inova website, click on the Startups menu, click on the Trails submenu, and click the registration form button.
To finalize the registration, the candidate must fill out and submit the form available at the mentioned address, along with the requested digital documents, as described in the announcement.
The candidate, at the time of registration, must upload documents in PDF format, such as a certificate of completion of high school or a declaration of enrollment with the institution, if still attending, and a declaration or proof of scholarship, among others like ID and CPF, proof of residence, and registration declaration.

The program of free courses offers 500 scholarships, worth R$ 500 each, for four months, totaling R$ 2,000. With a total workload of 400 hours, participants will have 20 weeks of online classes and practical activities. At the end of the courses, participants receive a certificate and will be part of a talent pool integrated with companies in the field.

Preciso desse curso, pois fiz um curso de TEC em TI em 2015 e tinha passado dois anos, na escola HD Informática e segundo eles, não espande conhecimento suficiente no pacote de operador e me lastimei pois afirmava ter passado 4,5 anos com eles. O técnico em TI, completo, mas asseguro. Não ter pego todo o aprendizado e estágiei no ferro velho de informática do bairro São Pedro em Teresina.
Comecei outro curso TEC em redes e faltando menos de quatro meses estava eliminado por excesso de reprovação de matéria. Ainda participei de um curso de operador pelo Senai e um de herdiwer pelo Senac.
Em São Paulo. Participei de um curso de eletricista básico e outro de operador, más relâmpago. Novamente em Teresina, participei de um curso relâmpago em Lógica de programação.
