São José dos Pinhais Will Receive a New Brewery with an Investment of R$ 300 Million for Its Construction.
São José dos Pinhais, located in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba, will be the new home of a large brewery. On Wednesday, September 18, Governor Carlos Massa Ratinho Junior announced a R$ 300 million investment from the RFK group for the construction of the new industrial unit in the city. This project not only represents a significant advancement for the local industry but also promises to transform São José dos Pinhais into an important center for beverage production.
About the New Unit
The new brewery will occupy a plot of 300 thousand square meters, located near the already established factories of Audi and Electrolux.
Construction will begin on October 1 and is expected to be completed in the first half of 2026.

From empty land to a high-end house, wooden construction uses a lightweight system, metal structure for the foundation, ventilated ceramic cladding, and special windows to create an efficient and comfortable living space throughout the year.
The project will be highly technological and utilize artificial intelligence to optimize production and promote environmental sustainability.
Production Details and Brands
The new plant will start operating with two proprietary beer brands: Bamboa and Moema. In addition to these, the brewery is expected to add a third label and include other beverages from its portfolio, such as the soft drinks Refriko and the energy drink Furioso.
Production is scheduled to begin in a year and a half, with an estimated capacity of 1.2 billion liters of beverages per year.
The expectation is that the brewery will serve not only the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba but also the markets of São Paulo and Santa Catarina.
With this production capacity, the unit will position itself as an important supplier for these regions, meeting the growing demand for quality beverages.
Economic Impact of the New Brewery and Regional Development
The investment from the RFK group is a significant step towards strengthening Paraná as a national hub for beer production.
Recently, Heineken completed a R$ 1.5 billion investment in expanding its factory in Ponta Grossa, which also has the presence of Ambev and the construction of a new malting plant worth R$ 1.6 billion.
Additionally, in Carambeí, Ambev is advancing with 80% completion of its new bottle factory, with an investment of R$ 870 million.
Governor Ratinho Junior highlighted the importance of this investment for the local economy.
“The RFK group is one of the largest beverage industries in Brazil. It already has a large industrial park in Cambé and is now making this million-dollar investment in São José dos Pinhais. It is a joy to see a Paraná-based company growing nationally and bringing a modern and sustainable factory to the city, which will generate many jobs for the people of Paraná.”
Paraná Competitivo Program and Future Prospects for the Brewery
The new venture will be supported by the Paraná Competitivo program, which aims to attract and maintain investments in the state.
In the first eight months of 2024, the program has already attracted R$ 15.3 billion in investments for Paraná.
The forecast is that the brewery in São José dos Pinhais will create 60 direct jobs, contributing to economic growth and the creation of new job opportunities in the region.
Norberto Ortigara, State Secretary of Finance, emphasized the importance of the program: “Paraná has an effective policy to attract and maintain investments, which is crucial for strengthening our economy with more added value. The Paraná Competitivo program has the capacity to welcome entrepreneurs and ensure that large investments, which could go to other states, are realized here.”
Eduardo Bekin, CEO of Invest Paraná, highlighted that the negotiation for the installation of the brewery was conducted to ensure that the venture was established in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba, despite options in other states.
“The establishment of this brewery in São José dos Pinhais shows that Paraná is capable of attracting breweries beyond the Campos Gerais, solidifying itself as one of the main beer hubs in Brazil.”
