Ambev Receives R$ 546.9 Million from Sudene for Expansion in Itapissuma, Generating 1,468 New Jobs and Strengthening the Industrial Hub.

Recently, the Collegiate Board of the Superintendence for the Development of the Northeast (Sudene) approved tax incentives for 24 projects in the region, totaling R$ 861.4 million in investments. Among the benefiting projects, the investment from Ambev stands out, having received approval for an injection of R$ 546.9 million. This amount is the largest among the approved requests and aims to strengthen Ambev’s operations in the Northeast, creating new jobs and boosting the local economy.

About the Ambev Brewery

The brewery of Ambev located in Itapissuma, Pernambuco, is one of the largest production units for beers and soft drinks in the North, Northeast, and Midwest regions of Brazil.

Inaugurated in March 2014, the facility also stands out as a hub for yeast production throughout the country and, in the past year, became a leader in the production of zero alcohol beers in these regions.

Ambev and the Impact of Expansion in Itapissuma

With the new investment, Ambev projects to create 1,468 new jobs in Itapissuma.

This move is part of the company’s strategy to consolidate the region as an important industrial hub, providing alternatives to the traditional Suape Industrial Complex.

The growth of Itapissuma as an industrial hub is not limited to Ambev; the municipality is already home to factories from Heineken and Petrópolis, in addition to other industries from various sectors, such as Marilan, Ypê, Itaesbra, and Benteler.

Expanding Industrial Hub

The industrial hub of Itapissuma has been strengthening as a viable alternative to the Suape Industrial Complex.

The presence of major companies such as Ambev and other industries contributes to the economic diversification of the region.

The automaker Stellantis, located just 10 km from Itapissuma, has been an attraction for the establishment of new companies.

This anchor effect has encouraged the arrival of several systemists and suppliers, creating a conducive environment for local economic development.

Ambev’s expansion is a clear example of how tax incentives can positively impact the job market and the regional economy.

With the creation of new jobs and the strengthening of local infrastructure, Ambev’s presence in Itapissuma significantly contributes to the growth and diversification of the region’s economy.
