The price of the gas cylinder from gas has seen constant increases since the change in pricing by Petrobras in 2017, during the Temer government. Therefore, the best way to minimize costs in relation to these increases is to always research the best gas prices.

Click Petróleo e Gás requested a survey from the Gas Price App on August 22, 2022, regarding the prices of 13kg and 45kg gas cylinders from various retailers in the city of Rio de Janeiro to share with its readers. Before presenting the survey, a brief explanation of what the Gas Price App is: It is an app where consumers can compare the best gas prices in their neighborhood and place orders online. Simply enter the delivery address, and the app will list all the prices from retailers in the area. Payment is made at the time of gas delivery.

The Gas Price App is available throughout Brazil, but the city of Rio de Janeiro was selected for the following price survey of the 13kg and 45kg gas cylinders below:

Currently, President Jair Bolsonaro has been reducing the ICMS on some energy sector products; along with the reduction in ICMS for gas cylinders, there has been a decrease in the final price of the gas cylinder.
