Free technology training with scholarship, online and in-person stages, and a focus on low-income youth draws attention for opening doors in the digital sector and expanding access to professional qualification in different regions of the country.

Petrobras and SENAI have opened registrations for a new front of the Petrobras Autonomy and Income program aimed at training young people in technology.

The initiative begins with an online Digital Literacy course and, for some participants, advances to an in-person stage in Full Stack Programming, with a monthly scholarship, support for transportation and meals, and a focus on professional insertion.

The proposal targets an audience aged 17 to 22 who are in their third year or have already completed high school and have a family income per capita of up to one minimum wage.

According to the official announcement, the initial stage has national reach and is expected to serve over 10,000 young people, while the in-person phase anticipates up to 420 vacancies in priority municipalities across seven states.

Free online digital literacy course

The first phase serves as a mandatory requirement for those who wish to continue in the selection process.

In this phase, registered participants take the SENAI Digital Literacy course for free, in a 100% online format with a workload of 40 hours, designed to level knowledge and expand mastery of basic tools in the digital environment.

Among the planned content are safe internet navigation, use of digital tools, information organization, notions of digital citizenship, and an introduction to logic and computational thinking.

The training was structured to provide a common foundation for participants before entering a more in-depth training in the technology field.

Upon completing this stage, the candidate does not automatically secure a spot in the next phase but fulfills a central requirement of the program.

Those who finish the digital literacy course and do not advance to the in-person training still receive a certificate and can access an additional online training pathway on topics related to Information Technology and Telecommunications.

Full stack programming course with a scholarship of up to R$ 706

The second phase is the in-person Full Stack Programming course, with a workload of 670 hours.

In this stage, the training deepens content on system development and integrates activities focused on front-end and back-end, also paving the way for later specializations, depending on performance and the profile built throughout the journey.

Selected students for this phase receive a monthly scholarship.

In the national communication of the program, Petrobras and SENAI inform a payment of R$ 700 per month, in addition to transportation, meal, and uniform assistance; while the SENAI announcement from Rio Grande do Norte details the amount as R$ 706.00, with the same benefits associated with the in-person stage.

In addition to financial support, the in-person stage includes technical and pedagogical monitoring to reduce dropout rates and sustain student performance during the training.

The selection for this phase also considers criteria related to the professional profile for the technology field, the place of residence, and the socioeconomic vulnerability situation of the candidates.

Who can participate in the free courses

The program prioritizes young people at the beginning of their professional journey and increases the weight of inclusion criteria.

The official announcement states priority for women, black people, and transgender individuals, including transgenders, transsexuals, and travestis, as part of a strategy aimed at expanding access for historically underrepresented groups in the sector.

To compete for a spot in the in-person training, it is not enough to simply register for the initial course.

It is necessary to complete the Digital Literacy course and, according to information released by channels related to the program, achieve at least 60 points to proceed in the selection, which is then followed by a profile analysis on a specific platform.

In the in-person phase, the selection process uses the Contrate-me platform, a tool that analyzes profiles with the support of artificial intelligence.

Among the factors observed are education level, adherence to the profile required by the technology field, residence in a locality covered by the announcement, and the socioeconomic context of the participant.

This design seeks to filter candidates who have managed to complete the initial stage and, at the same time, align the selection with the available in-person vacancies.

Still, the online training retains its own value within the program, as it provides a certificate and keeps open the possibility of continuing in other IT content for those who are not classified.

Technology training and market opportunities

The creation of this specific technology axis occurs amid the search for faster qualification for young people trying to enter the job market.

In the program presentation, Petrobras and SENAI highlight that the initiative combines free training, productive inclusion, and connection with high-demand areas, with the possibility of continuing in specializations such as Artificial Intelligence, cloud, robotics, and low code.

Participation of graduates in employability fairs and certifications with program partners is also planned.

The logic is to offer not only the classroom but a pathway that brings the student closer to concrete job opportunities, especially for those who have not yet had access to structured technical training in the digital area.

Although the promotional material mentions seven states in the in-person phase, the official texts consulted do not fully and uniformly detail the list of municipalities in all open publications.

Therefore, the safest reference is that the in-person vacancies are concentrated in localities prioritized by the announcement, within the states informed by the program.

How to register for the Petrobras and SENAI program

Registrations for the Digital Literacy stage are open and must be made for free online, on the official platforms of the program and the SENAI educational ecosystem.

The deadline stated in the announcements consulted goes until April 13, 2026, and the recommendation is to fill out the registration and start the course within the scheduled timeline to compete for the in-person Full Stack Programming training.
