This Monday (25), Petrobras Informed the Market About the Significant Increase in the Company’s Hiring Margin. This Achievement Approaches R$ 1 Billion and Was Achieved Thanks to the Application of the New Rules of the State-Owned Companies Law (13.303/2016), Which Aims to Provide Regarding the Legal Status of Public Companies, Mixed Economy Companies, and Their Respective Subsidiaries Within the Scope of the Union, States, Federal District, and Municipalities.
This is the reality of the scenario after a year of applying the new rules of the Law, a scenario that has since facilitated the entry of new companies through different modes of bidding, which, according to it, after its amendment and the facilitation of the entry of new companies regarding suppliers, Petrobras has also accounted for more than 1,500 tenders published.
According to the Executive Manager of Goods and Services Supply at Petrobras, Cláudio Araújo, the assessment made during this period is very positive. “We have noticed that more market access opportunities have opened up, in addition to the entry of suppliers who previously did not participate. Very good companies are now emerging that did not come through the previous process,” said Araújo, remembering that invitation letters are no longer sent to suppliers and that all tenders are now published in the Official Gazette of the Union.

Claudio Araújo, the Executive Manager also emphasizes that the number of valid proposals multiplied, increasing from four to eight in this first year, and stated that the hiring process time has reduced by about 30%, approximately. This greatly benefits the largest Brazilian state-owned company.
“It is work that we have done in recent years based on the optimization and simplification of processes, as well as the adoption of technological solutions. But the law helps in some aspects, such as the restriction to one appeal phase. Previously, there were two appeal moments,” continued Cláudio.
The Executive Manager also highlights that according to some sets of actions, Petrobras has worked since 2016 for the legitimization of the law that occurred last year, emphasizing the number of hours worked, training, and participation in events, in order to capture all the opportunities… leading Petrobras to significantly increase the company’s hiring margin.
