Petrobras has announced the much-anticipated production of the FPSO Anna Nery in the Campos Basin, a piece of news that promises to boost the oil and gas sector in Brazil.

The Anna Nery is a floating unit for production, storage, and offloading of oil and gas, which will be anchored in the Campos Basin region, located in Rio de Janeiro.

With a capacity to produce 70,000 barrels of oil per day and compress up to 4 million cubic meters of natural gas daily, the Anna Nery is considered one of the most advanced FPSOs of Petrobras, equipped with cutting-edge technologies to maximize operational efficiency and reduce environmental impacts.

The start of production from the platform in the Marlim Field was announced by the current president of the state-owned company, Jean Paul Prates.

Moreover, the production of the FPSO Anna Nery is an important step for Petrobras, which aims to maintain its role as one of the leading oil and gas companies in the world, with a focus on offshore production.

The revitalization plan for the Marlim Field is one of the main projects currently underway by the state-owned oil company.

Revitalization of the Campos Basin and the Marlim Field is One of the Main Projects of the State-Owned Company’s Strategic Plan

Petrobras currently has a strategic plan underway for the revitalization of the Campos Basin, which includes investments of US$ 18 billion in the coming years.

The company’s president, Jean Paul Prates, emphasized the importance of the project for the company and for the oil and gas sector as a whole.

The FPSO Anna Nery will be the first of two units to be part of the Revitalization Project for Marlim and Voador.

The unit will be anchored in a water depth of 927 meters and interconnected to 32 wells. According to the company’s data, peak production is expected in 2025.

Additionally, the revitalization project will also include the FPSO Anita Garibaldi, which is expected to start operations later this year.

The Marlim Field is considered a historic milestone for Petrobras and for the oil and gas industry in Brazil.

The revitalization of the Campos Basin is an important step for Petrobras, which aims to preserve its prominent position in the industry.

Thus, the production of the FPSO Anna Nery and the implementation of the Revitalization Project for Marlim and Voador are Petrobras’s main bets for the national market.

The oil and gas industry is an important sector for the country’s economy, and the revitalization of the Campos Basin is a crucial step to ensure its continuity and success in the future, as Prates highlighted in his speech.
