After Chartering the FPSO for the Búzios V Field with Modec, it’s now Petrobras’s turn to open the bidding for the installation of the subsea system that will be interconnected to the vessel.
The deadline for submitting proposals is until October 24, and the bidding is of national scope. The Búzios V field is located in the onerous assignment of the Santos basin.
The Subsea
The subsea system will be interconnected to the FPSO of Búzios V, a vessel whose construction site has not yet been disclosed by Modec, through 15 wells (8 producers and 7 injectors), divided into two phases.
According to the notice issued by Petrobras, the contractor will implement the interconnections planned for the first phase, which includes 5 producers, 5 injectors, and 1 gas export pipeline.

The FPSO Búzios 5 will be installed in the Santos Basin, in water depths ranging from 1,537 meters to 2,190 meters, and Petrobras had to postpone the first oil from the unit from 2021 to 2022.

The unit will have the capacity to process 150,000 barrels of crude oil daily, 6 million cubic meters of gas, 240,000 barrels of water injection, and will also have a minimum storage capacity of 1.4 million barrels of crude oil.
