US$ 170 Million Partnership Between Constellation and Petrobras Signals New Era for Drilling and P&A in Brazil
Constellation, recognized for its excellence in offshore drilling, has signed a US$ 170 million contract with Petrobras, strengthening its strategic position in the sector. The agreement, announced on March 31, involves the operation of the jackup Admarine 511, owned by ADES Holding Company.
The unit will be used by Petrobras in a Plug and Abandonment (P&A) campaign in wells located in the Sergipe, Alagoas, Ceará, and Potiguar basins, regions in the northeast that play a fundamental role in the company’s exploration infrastructure.
Already, the contract demonstrates Petrobras’ commitment to modernizing its operations while reaffirming its intention to make its activities even more efficient.

Moreover, Constellation will gain even more relevance in the market by taking on the responsibility for this large-scale project.
“We are very pleased to announce a new achievement for Constellation: the signing of a new contract with Petrobras for the operation of the Admarine 511 platform, a jackup unit belonging to our newest business partner ADES Holding Company.
The unit will operate in Plug and Abandonment campaigns in shallow waters in the Sergipe, Alagoas, Ceará, and Potiguar basins.
This achievement not only strengthens our position in the market but also reaffirms our expertise in carrying out diverse operations, always with a focus on safety and excellence.
We are confident that our teams are fully prepared to deliver exceptional results for Petrobras, with the safety of people and operations as a top priority at all stages of the operation”, published Constellation.

International Mobilization and Strategic Logistics Advancement
Constellation will have up to 210 days to mobilize the Admarine 511 from Bahrain to Brazilian waters.
Subsequently, the platform will remain in operation for an initial period of 1,143 days, with the possibility of an extension of up to 472 days, depending on the performance and needs of Petrobras.
This logistical forecast clearly demonstrates the enthusiasm and determination of both companies to maximize the results of this partnership.
To meet Brazilian regulatory requirements, the unit is already undergoing class inspections and technical adaptations, ensuring compliance with the highest safety and quality standards.
Thus, the campaign marks a strategic resumption of operations in shallow waters, promoting operational and environmental gains throughout its execution.
Technology, Safety, and Environmental Sustainability Go Hand in Hand
The Admarine 511 platform, model MSC CJ46-X100D, operates in depths of up to 375 feet (114 meters) and has a robust structure to face the challenges of the offshore environment in Brazil.
Thus, the unit perfectly aligns with Petrobras’ goals in this phase of modernization and decommissioning of wells.
The Plug and Abandonment (P&A) campaign not only definitively ends the useful life of the wells but also reinforces Petrobras’ socio-environmental responsibility.
Therefore, each well will be properly sealed and monitored, avoiding any future risks to the marine ecosystem.
This approach represents a balance between technological advancement and respect for the environment — one of the pillars of the company’s strategy.
Strategic Alliance Focused on Results and Global Expansion
Constellation’s involvement in this contract marks the second project with third-party assets operated by the company, indicating a significant expansion of its activities in specialized niches.
By focusing on operational excellence, Constellation positions itself as a reference for new decommissioning demands both in Brazil and in international markets.
Additionally, Petrobras is consistently advancing its structural and operational renewal plan.
The focus on shallow waters, with adapted technologies and qualified teams, reinforces the company’s vision of consolidating a more efficient, modern, and environmentally safe production chain.
The partnership between the two companies points to a promising scenario, where new contracts and opportunities will arise naturally, sustaining mutual growth.
Undoubtedly, this project creates the ideal conditions for strengthening the energy sector in Brazil while opening doors for an increasingly solid global presence.
