According to the state-owned company’s statement to the market, its Dutch subsidiary Petrobras Netherlands transferred its equity interest to companies of the Sete Brasil Group for a symbolic total amount of 7 euros.
Petrobras Netherlands held 15% in each of the Dutch special purpose companies controlled by the Sete Brasil Group, namely: Arpoador Drilling B.V., Marambaia Drilling B.V., Grumari Drilling B.V., Copacabana Drilling B.V., Leme Drilling B.V., Leblon Drilling B.V., and Ipanema Drilling B.V.

“Petrobras reiterates that the effectiveness of the agreement with Sete Brasil remains subject to the fulfillment of suspensive conditions to be implemented by January 31, 2021, as disclosed in the announcement on 11/12/2020” says Petrobras in the statement
Petrobras Pays R$ 190 Million on Sete Brasil Arbitration Settlement.
Petrobras announced in a relevant fact last night (12/17) that it will pay R$ 190 million to the Previ fund, from Banco do Brasil, to finalize the arbitration litigation regarding the losses related to Sete Brasil.
The amount is reflected in the company’s financial statements for the 3rd quarter of 2020,” says the state-owned company. “The company remains in defense of its interests in the ongoing processes,” it concludes.
The state-owned company paid R$ 190 million to Previ. According to the oil company, the agreement settles the litigation without acknowledgment of fault or liability by either party and its terms and the arbitration process are protected by confidentiality,” adds the statement.
In August, Petrobras disbursed R$ 950 million to Fundação Petrobras de Seguridade Social (Petros), regarding the full amount of the agreement made with the receiver, concerning the arbitration litigation related to the investment in Sete Brasil.
